INTRODUCTION
The Online Shopping Mall web application is intended to provide complete solutions for vendors as well as customers through a single get way using the internet as the sole medium. It will enable vendors to setup online shops, customer to browse through the shop and purchase them online without having to visit the shop physically.

SCOPE
Secure registration and profile management facilities for Customers Creating a Shopping cart so that customers can shop n no. of items and checkout finally with the entire shopping carts Adequate searching mechanisms for easy and quick access to particular products and services.

Regular updates to registered customers of the e-mall about new arrivals. 24 X 7 availability Advertisement space is provided where it will effectively catch the customers attention and as a source of revenue.

SQL/Apache Server Windows XP, Vista or 7 Dream Weaver

For users: Internet Browser Internet Connection

USERS

Regular Customer:

Customer has a login id and password that allows them to buy products efficiently. They can view various product details and are given the privilege to give reviews. They add the desired products in a cart and can edit the cart items anytime.

Guest:

Such users dont have the privilege to buy products. They can only view the product details. If they wish to buy any products, they are required to make an account by filling up a sign up form.

Shop Owner:

User can login as a shop owner. He/she has one or more shops where they could do the following functions: 1. Check Product Details 2. Update new product 3. Add new product

Administrator:

He/she has to perform the following functions: 1. Add a new shop 2. Check the shop owners 3. Check the shop requests 4. Delete a shop

FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Delivery database: Delivery information of the location provided by customers should be available. Server : SQL/Apache Internet browser PHP supporting software : Dream Weaver Online payment facility should be provided.

NON-FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Security Reliability Accuracy Regular updating Interactive with the users

USER CHARACTERISTICS
The user should be familiar with the Shopping Mall related terminology like Shopping cart/Checking out/Transaction etc. The user should be familiar with the Internet.
