Main Features
Feature Description
Up to 11.4 Mbps/ 15 Mbps Extended rate Special RAD proprietary solution provides extended rates of up to 15 Mbps over 2-wire lines. Operation, Administration, and Maintenance (OAM) - discovers automatically if next hop supports 802.3ah and enable remote loopback of all traffic, fault propagation and connectivity check

Customer Benefits
Cost effective solution for Ethernet services Enables higher rate over only one pair

Single segment (link) IEEE 802.32005former 802.3ah)

Detects line faults Measures performance on the SHDSL line

EOC (Embedded Operational Channel) management

Remote loopbacks at the SHDSL repeater Monitoring alarms from the repeaters Indication on the SHDSL/SHDSL.bis repeaters on the chain

Enables clear and high reliability in case of failure of one of repeaters

Alarm masking

Disables or enables the alarms on each port

Improved maintenance and management control of the ETH, E1 and SHDSL alarms
ASMi-54L Ver. 2.5 2010 Slide 12

Main Features
Feature
Rate limiting

Description
Limits the ingress data rate on each Ethernet port

Customer Benefits
Enables control and better utilization of the ETH traffic

Single IP support

LRS-102 uses Single IP (defined in central LRS-102 or MP-4100) to manage remote modems (via RADview only)
ASMi-54L reports power failures to the specified network management stations by sending an SNMP trap
Automates network parameters

Prevent the need to define many IP address at the remote sites

Dying Gasp

Helps a service provider identify and isolate the end-point device experienced a power failure Simplifies host configuration Eliminates wrong network parameters configuration

DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) BPDU (Bridge Protocol Data Unit)

assignment to network devices from one or more DHCP servers BPDU messages are exchanged across bridges to detect loops in a network topology

Management
RADview-EMS is a unified carrier-class management platform for RAD devices using a variety of access channels as SNMPv1/3, HTTP/S, TFTP and Telnet/SSH. In addition, it features third-party device monitoring capabilities

ASMi-54L Ver. 2.5 2010 Slide 30

RADview-EMS Advanced FCAPS

Fault Management
Detects and isolates faults in network devices, initiates remedial actions and distributes alarm messages to other management entities in the network.

Configuration Management
Enables operators to configure, install and distribute software to all devices across the network. In addition, the system tracks version changes and maintains software configuration history

Accounting Management
Manages individual and group user accounts and passwords, generating network usage reports to monitor user activities.

Performance Management
Supports real-time monitoring of QoS and CoS, producing real-time and periodic statistics. The statistics collector compresses data to minimize bandwidth use for management traffic and exports CSV files to OSS or third-party management systems

Security Management
Allows network administrators to track user activities and control the access to network resources with a choice of security features
