FIRE GUARD CABLES

AN INTRODUCTION

ACL FIRE GUARD CLABLES 2007. 03. 01

Each year fires result in thousands of fatalities with many more injured. The financial cost is large.

ACL FIRE GUARD CLABLES 2007. 03. 01

For a fire to take place, presence of following, in combination are required

An ignition source

FIRE

A combustable material ACL FIRE GUARD

CLABLES 2007. 03. 01

Oxygen

Normal PVC compound when exposed to severe heat and certain adverse installation conditions burns fiercely and continues to burn in case of fire.

The flame spreads dangerous pace.

ACL FIREGUARD cables are not flammable and resist catching fire.

ACL FIREGUARD cables prevent spread of fire along cable lengths.

COMMON TEST METHODS FOR CABLES UNDER FIRE CONDITIONS - TEST FOR VERTICAL FLAME SPREAD OF VERTICALLY - MOUNTED BUNCHED WIRES OF CABLES
BS EN 50266
ACL FIRE GUARD CLABLES 2007. 03. 01

ACL FIRE GUARD Cable prevents spreading of flame even if it catches fire. The above test is used to demonstrate the cables ability to limit flame spread. The flame spread is measured as the extent of damage of the cable sample, subject to direct fire under strict conditions.
