Preface
Here we set UREA as the example for all Fixed-time items on

Generally, Fixed-time item includes: UREA, Cre,

Basic parameter for UREA

Read the reagent insert first, eg as below.

UREA

Input the item name for Test.

UREA

No. will be generated automatically by the system, eg 1 for the first one.

UREA

Full Name of the item, can be blank if the user dont want to input anything.

UREA

Standard No. of the item, can be blank or involved with the bar code.

UREA

Reac. Type of the item, can be referred from the reagent insert as ...

Basic parameter for UREA

Its another saying of Fixed-time.

So we can set it as Fixed-time type.

UREA

Fixed-time

Reac. Type is set as Fixed-time as the reagent insert indicates.

UREA

Fixed-time

Pri. Wave & Sec. Wave should be selected as reagent insert indicates

Basic parameter for UREA

So we can set it as 340 nm for Pri. Wave; since no secondary wavelength is mentioned, Sec. Wave could be blank.

UREA

Fixed-time 340

Pri. Wave is selected as 340 nm, Sec. Wave is blank.

UREA

Fixed-time 340

Direction of the absorbance changing during the reaction, refer to ...

Basic parameter for UREA

So we can find its Descending Moreover, From Reaction Principle, we can see NADH
(routine indicator under 340nm) is a

to-be-consumed reactant, which will be less and less during testing, thus, indicating the absorbance is descending in the measurement.

UREA

Fixed-time 340 Descending

Direction is selected as Descending.

UREA

Reac. Time & Incuba. Time for the reaction, refer to ...

Basic parameter for UREA

R1 Sample

Preheating time

Incubation time

Reaction time

Fixed 14 cycles

To be set from the insert

0 cycle of reaction time

Mono reagent items' reaction time begins when Sample is dispensed. Dual reagent items reaction time begins when R2 is dispensed. The time between S and R2 dispensing is called Incubation time, only dual reagent measurements have incubation time.

Basic parameter for UREA

Time is all calculated into cycles on BS-200, and 1 cycle equals to 16 seconds. Roughly speaking, we change minutes into cycles for Reac. Time and Incuba. Time as below.
minute 0.5 1 cycle 2 4

Basic parameter for UREA

According to the instruction and the minute-cycle conversion table: The incubation time is be 1 minute, namely 4 cycles; The reaction time should be 30 seconds and 30+60 seconds, namely 2 and 6 cycles.

Reac. Time is set as 2 and 6, Incuba. Time as 4.

Unit of the item, should be set according to the reagent insert

Basic parameter for UREA

According to the insert, we can set the Unit as mg/dl or mmol/l for serum testing, and g/24h or mmol/24h for urine samples.

mg/dl

We can set the Unit as mg/dl.

mg/dl

Precision of the items results, should be referred to the reagent insert

Basic parameter for UREA

If the unit is set as mg/dl, its normal to report results without decimals. We can set the Precision as 0.

R1, R2 and Sample Volume of the item, should be referred to

Basic parameter for UREA

To process with the sample testing, we need 10ul sample, 1000ul R1 and 250ul R2 (namely, the ratio of S/R1/R2 is 1/100/25); According to the volume range of BS-200 (sample: 3-45ul, R1: 180-450ul; R2: 30-450ul), and the indicated S/R1/R2 ratio; We can set Sample volume as 3ul, R1 as 300ul, and R2 as 75ul.

Linearity Range means the reagents measuring range, refer to

Reagent parameter for UREA

The basic parameters for UREA have been finished
Next, we should set the reagent information as following

Calibration and QC for UREA

Basic reagent information (Position and Bottle Type) has been set up We should set relevant calibration and QC information for the item

(Please refer to the video of Calibration & QC setting)

Thank you!
NOTE: Fixed-time items should be set in the same way as UREA.
