§Successful creation of opportunities /situation , in which people


gain the abilities and the stimulation necessary for meeting their
needs and interests and attain continuous improvement and self-
satisfaction.

§Assessment of the local problems and the ways in which


technology can solve them.

§Providing them Appropriate Technology, which is suited to the


economic and social conditions and level of civilization of a given
population in specific zone or area

1. Adult Education : All have access to “Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan”, but no one
used it.
2. For education upto CLASS 5 :
§ Gopali Ashram(without any conventional board)
§ Saraswati Shishumandir(without any conventional board)
§ Indranarayan Junior High School
§ Splendour English medium school
3. People complain about the lack of good primary schools.
4. For higher education:
§ The only school is Hijli High School
5. In (10+2)level there is no school/college supporting science stream
education.
6. Only college for further education is HIJLI COLLEGE.
7. Lack of education culture and library facilities.

AGRICULTURE

1. LALTU DAS, ANUMOY BHANJA, MRIGANKA BHANJA do not have any


agricultural land.
2. BENUMOY BHANJA has 70 decimals of agricultural land, but doesn't
depend on the agricultural produce.
3. NARENDRA BHANJA/SIBRAM BHANJA owns 130 decimal agricultural land.
Uses natural fertilizer. Does not use a tractor.

4. ABHIRAM BHANJA owns 33 decimal agricultural land.


5. ANSHUMAN BHANJA owns 200 decimals of agricultural land on which on
150 decimals-paddy fields.
6. JAGADISH BHANJA owns 33 decimals[self consumed agricultural produce]-
paddy field
7. MANORANJAN BHANJA owns 500 decimalsof land.

ATTITUDE TOWARD RISK AND CREDIT

1. Major obstacle : Co-operatives give credit to land-holders only, using land


as the mortgage.
2. Most of the people are complacent, satisfied with their present condition
and very averse to risk-taking. Hence, they
