Long Hours, Hundreds of E-Mails, and No Sleep: Does This Sound Like a Satisfying Jobs ?

Case Overview

John Bishop, is an investment banker who works for Citigroup's global energy team in New York. He says he might be a little skewed to the workaholic, but realistically, expecting 90 to 100 hours a week is not at all unusual. Irene Tse heads the government bond-trading division about 10 years. She says she hasnt slept through the night in years and often wakes up several times to check the global market status. She can count on the fingers of the hand the number of days in her career when she didnt want to come to work. Tony Kurz is a managing director at Capital Alliance Partners, and raises funds for real estate investments. He often flies to exotic locations to woo prospective clients. David Clark is the vice president of global marketing for MTV. His job often travelling around and dont have much time to spend with his family

we just read about tend to be satisfied with their jobs, how might this satisfaction relate to their job performance, citizenship behavior, and turnover?
Job performance Job satisfaction of the employees are positively related with their performance. Citizenship behavior Discretionary behavior that is more likely to talk positive about the organization. Turnover Job satisfactions of these individuals are negatively related to turnover.

Question 4: Recall David Clarks

statement that there are plenty of people who would love to have this job. Theyre knocking on the door all the time. How might Clarks perceptions that he has a job many others desire contribute to his job satisfaction?
