4. The Holy Place represents the daily ongoing work of sanctification in the life of every believer.

So what about the Most Holy Place?

What does it represent?

And why were these articles placed in the Ark?

The Day of the Lord

We have studied the construction of the Tabernacle, and we have seen how the various parts of the structure represent the coming of the Messiah, as He seeks to save His people.

We have further looked into the meaning of the Holy Place, and how it relates to our daily walk with Christ by faith.

Now it is time to look into the Most Holy Place, to see what God has to say about the sin problem, and how He will finally end it.

This end or solution is referred to in scripture as The Day of the Lord. It is a very neglected and altogether misunderstood subject, for the most part.

And while there are many reasons for this, the most important one is what we will try to address here.

We began part 2 of this presentation by showing how God connected the Tabernacle with the Book of Revelation.

We will not be able to do justice to the subject of Revelation in this presentation, but what we can do is finish this sketch, so that a more in depth study of Revelation will be much easier.

As it was stated earlier, much of what is written in scripture is given within a certain context, so that missing the context of that issue completely confounds the reader.

In this study, we hope to help reduce or totally eliminate that confusion all together.

To put it bluntly, the whole idea of the Holy Place can be reduced to two words. TIME and OPPORTUNITY.

The one talent that God gives universally to every person, no matter who or where, is TIME!

God further says, according to the talents that we are given, He will one day call on us to give an account for those talents.

The point in all of this is simply that, without the ministry of Christ in the Holy Place, none of this would be possible.

The daily ministration of Christ allows us the TIME to do whatever we wish to do. And it is totally up to us to use that time wisely.

So the question is, what happens when God decides that time shall be no more? What happens then?

Since the Most Holy Place represents the end of the year as God cleanses the Sanctuary, it means that, for us, the Day of the Lord is the end of time as we know it.

We can take comfort in the fact that God will not just yank everybody out of the pool and totally destroy everything in one minute!

Rather, He says that He will make this transition gradually. In fact, God makes it clear that He will warn us that the end is coming by way of a trumpet.

And if theres one thing everyone can hear clearly, it will be the sound of a trumpet.

RIGHT? WELL. NOT NECESSARILY!

Our first reference to the Day of the Lord is found in Isaiah 2.

For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up;

and he shall be brought low: Isa 2:12

In this passage, the scenario that God describes is not good. At first it appears that the Day of the Lord is Gods punishment for the wicked.

And indeed, the Day of the Lord is just that. It will be a day of trouble for those that have done evil and wicked things.

Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him. Isa 3:11

Those that do wickedly will not concern themselves with the call of the trumpet, precisely because they have no desire to serve God or help the poor and those less fortunate .

But that is only one half of a two sided coin.

The Lord also says:

In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.

The Lord also says:

And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem. Isa. 4:2,3

God makes it clear that there will be trouble in the land, but there will also be a great blessing that He will bestow on those that are truly His.

While there are many other passages that we could refer to that will continue to amplify this point, we would do well to consider the prophet Joel.

Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come. Joel 1:15

In one respect, Joel simply echoes what Isaiah and others say about this time. But, there is one thing Joel mentions that is critically important.

A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.

A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them. Joel 2:2, 3

Joels prophecy describes a people unlike any other that have ever been. They sound like real heroes, in the truest sense of the word.

So who are these people? And where did they come from?

In a future study of Daniel and Revelation, we will explain in detail just who these people are, and exactly where they will come from.

Both Daniel and Revelation give us a very specific timeline that delineates what events will take place during this most critical time in history.

For now, we only need to say that these are the saints of God. They are Gods last day church.

And again, as we read the text in context, the first verse of Revelation makes a lot more sense as it says

I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Rev 1:10

Note three things here:

1 John is (walking) In the Spirit.
2 It is the Lords Day. 3 The Voice of a Trumpet is behind Him.

In this one verse, Revelation refers to Obedience to the three different passages of Word scripture. The first is Isa. 30:21, which says: means NOT lusting after

the flesh. As it is written:

Isa 30:21 And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

The 2nd passage is a reference to Joel 2.

Obedience to the Word means NOT lusting after Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound alarm in my holy mountain: thean flesh. As it is written:
let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;

Obedience to the Word And it came to pass on the third day in the means NOT lusting after morning, that there were thunders and the flesh. As it is written: lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the
mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that

The third passage is Exod. 19:16.

was in the camp trembled. Exo 19:16

The Holy Spirit points to these 3 different passages in order to create a kind of Biblical mosaic. This a most important point that must be understood about the symbolic

Walking in the Spirit

language of scripture.

A mosaic is a picture that is created by using single pieces of colored glass or tile.

When used effectively, each individual tile loses its identity, becoming part of a much bigger picture.

We might say then, that line upon line is the Biblical equivalent of a mosaic tile.

But what about precept upon precept? How does that figure in?

Webster defines a precept as: A rule or principle imposing a particular standard of action or conduct.

To put it plainly, if line upon line is the Wisdom gained from verse by verse then precept upon precept is the Wisdom gained from the insight of chapter upon chapter and book upon book.

This is precisely the point God is bringing home by connecting the two hubs of the Tabernacle and the book of Revelation.
The Tabernacle

Revelation

Many Christians mistakenly think that the Lords Day is Sunday, the first day of the week.

Others think this is a reference to th the Biblical Sabbath, the 7 day of the week.

But in fact, the Lords Day in Revelation is simply another way of saying the Day of the Lord.

And the Lords Day is neither the th st 7 day or the 1 day of any week.

Its really much deeper than that.

The Day of the Lord is a topic too often neglected and very seldom discussed.

In Revelation, John describes the Day of the Lord as both sweet and bitter.

John the Revelator quotes Ezekiel 3:1-3, saying:

Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thou findest; eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel. So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat that roll.

And he said unto me, Son of man, cause thy belly to eat, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give thee. Then did I eat it; and it was in my mouth as honey for sweetness. Ezek 3:1-3

As Ezekiel ate the scroll, it was a bittersweet experience if you will. In both Isaiah and in Joel, we saw earlier why this is true.

Ezekiel 9 is a passage that many have cited, often times without making it clear what the context of the text really is.

Both Joel and Isaiah describe in vivid detail what Ezekiel says in the following passage.

The prophecy of Ezekiel Slay utterly old and young, both specifically the first maids, and addresses little children, and issue the Dayhe of the Lord. women: but come not near any And to of the others said in mine
hearing, Gowhom ye after man upon ishim thethrough mark; the city, and smite: let not your eye and begin at my sanctuary. spare, neither ye ancient pity: Then they beganhave at the

men which were before the house. Ezek 9:5-6

Clearly, this passage says that the Day of the Lord is a day of judgment and a day of wrath for the church first, and then for the people in the world.

Peter says:
For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
1 Pet 4:17

In an earlier study of Matt. 24, you may recall, there was no mention of this issue, as far as the shaking and the separation of the wheat and the tares in Israel is concerned.

This is because Jesus assumes that His people will understand, it is the element of persecution that will do the separating, as He says in Matt.10:34

In Hebrews Paul says:

For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? Heb 12:6-7

Johns reference to the trumpet, the voice behind him, and the Day of the Lord are all intended to make it clear that the day of the Lord is the time of the prophecys fulfillment.

For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 1Thes 5:2-3

So we do understand that the Day of the Lord is a day of Judgment and a day of Wrath.
But Judgment and Wrath are two very misunderstood Biblical terms.

In order to explain these two terms, we need to allow the Bible to show us the Big Picture.

And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and
the flood came, and destroyed them all. Luk 17:26, 27

This simple timeline shows us the 3 points of issue that concern the days of Noah.
1. The Creation.

2. The Call of Noah

3. The Flood

2 3

Jesus explains that the Day of the Lord is patterned after an earlier judgment, namely, the flood.

Therefore, what happened in that time is a sure guide to what will happen in the end time scenario.

2 3

1.Noah preached for 120 years, and during that time, he built the ark. 2.When the ark was finished, God commanded that He must enter in, and the door was shut. 3.Even tho it didnt rain that same day, the rain did come, and it continued for 40 days and nights.
120 years

2 3

This pattern is strikingly similar to the one that followed Oct. 22 of 1844. Since that time, God has been building His ark in the heavenly tabernacle, so that all those that seek shelter from the storm may in fact find it, before it is everlasting too late.

The Jewish Year

1. 359 days of Holy Place Ministration by the Daily Priest.

2. Final Atonement on the One Day, the Day of Atonement.

It is no coincidence that the 2300 day prophecy in Daniel also follows this pattern. The difference is, it includes many more details concerning the events that will occur as the Day of the Lord is revealed.

The Word of God is a two-edged sword. This is especially true of the two words in question JUDGMENT & WRATH.

Understanding the Day of the Lord

We must begin by saying, the Day of the Lord is not a literal day!

IT IS A PERIOD OF TRANSITION!

The Bible makes it clear that it begins the most traumatic and painful time in earths history.

It is a good time for the people of God

Joel 2 says that the Day of but very the Lorda is alsosad the time time of for the those who Rain. are not. Latter

In part II of this series, we explained the significance of the four coverings.

As an object lesson, the four layers of the Sanctuary are an abbreviated explanation of the Day of the Lord.

Revelation says: 15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. Rev 11:15

In both, Rev.1:10 and 11:15, a trumpet sounds. However, the trumpet of 11:15 is the 7th trumpet, which means that a call is finished.

Seven consistently refers in scripture to a finished work, as in the seventh day of creation. This again points to the reality of a time when the work of restoring Gods dominion in the earth will have been finished.

But what are the kingdoms of this world? And what does the dominion of the earth consist of ?

A kingdom is a system of hierarchies, so that what makes a kingdom work is the power and authority that it wields over its subjects.

Jesus makes it clear that power and authority only work when men see or perceive that the one in power is fit to rule.
Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin. John 19:11

In Lucifers case, he rules by default because Adam gave the dominion of the earth to Satan when he sinned in Eden.

Satans power over his subjects is based entirely on the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life. 1Jn. 2:16

Conversely, Gods power is based entirely on the motive of LOVE, or as the Bible says,
Virtue.

This means that the loyalty of Gods subjects must be proved steadfast and uncompromising, otherwise Satan can always argue that our love for God is based on some ulterior motive.

This is where the issue of the Dominion comes in.

Gods dominion has more to do with what parts of the earth He actually rules over.

Clearly, as Creator, God rules over heaven and the earth. The question is, does He reigh supreme in the church, and more importantly, in the hearts of men?

The scripture says:

Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?

Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. Job Job 1:9-10 1:9-10

As the story goes, tried and tested though he was, Job would not curse God. Rather, by virtue of his faith he vindicated Gods name.

This same issue of vindication is addressed in the book of Hebrews, where Paul states:

And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:

God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.
Heb Heb 11:39-40 11:39-40

Paul maintains that the final vindication of God is based on the final victory of faith, which he calls the promise of the New Covenant.

The DAY of the LORD is that time when the saints finally overcome Satan by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. At that time, the transition in Rev. 11 will be finished.

UNDERSTANDING

The Day of the Lord and the Wrath of God

Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh Joel 2:1 2:1 at hand; Joel

Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it. Isa 13:9

These two passages and others make it clear that God will punish the wicked for their iniquity. So what is the wrath of God?

To understand Gods wrath, we must understand the function of the Inner Veil before the altar.

Paul says that Jesus Christ is that Veil in the Tabernacle Heb 10:20

He further states that we are to enter boldly into the Most Holy, which is beyond the Veil.

To be sure, such a thing was unheard of in ancient times. The priests of the first apartment would never enter into the Most Holy Place.

Whatever was beyond the Veil was forever kept from sight, as far as the priesthood was concerned, because it was always beyond the Veil.

The same can be said concerning the Tabernacle in the heavens. What is it that lies beyond that Veil, as far as the pattern is concerned?

What is it that has been kept from our view? What is it that has been kept secret for so long?

The answer is:

The Shekinah Glory

The Shekinah represents the presence of God, as a point of light precisely because God is making a point.

The Glory of God is really another way of saying

The CHARACTER OF GOD!

Gods Glory brings to the light everything there is to know about sin.

So that sin cannot abide in the presence of God.

At first glance, the Old Testament prophets make it seem as if it is God who is the destroyer, the devaster, and the inflictor of pain.

But in fact, it is not God that brings on this pain and devastation. NOT AT ALL!

The Old Testament prophets dont do a very good job of making this point clear, precisely because God wants us to figure it out.

sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 1 Cor 15:56

The Apostle The sting of death is Paul says:

There is only one time in the Bible when Satan told the truth.

And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die Gen. 3:4
Surely, in saying this, no greater lie was ever told!

For God doth know that in theBut day then ye eathe thereof, then said your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. Gen 3:4-5

In saying this He Satan toldWhat her the truth. But onlyto heEve described understood the bitter was really the irony of what it was Wrath of God! he had said.

The wrath of God is a downward spiral.

First comes the realization of sin.

and then comes

THE FULL REALIZATION OF THE LAW

Which shows the sinner the and so on ,evil and so of sin

on, and so on

Bear in mind however, that this only works when the mind is subject to some sense of conscience.

This is why the scripture says that mens minds would eventually degenerate to the point where they would have no conscience.

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 1Ti 4:1,2

Therefore, God says that, in order to justly reward those that do evil, He will NOT punish them. He will instead, pour out his wrath.

Concerning this wrath, the Bible says:

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Gal 6:7

Seeing the whole truth of sin and righteousness makes all the difference in the world. This is not good for the sinner that refuses to acknowledge God.

This downward spiral feeds on itself So much so that revelation calls it a bottomless pit.

And this is why God has held such a punishment in reserve for the very last days. This kind of revelation reduces all life to a state of total anarchy!

At a certain point, people will cease to care about money and the pleasures of life.

This is the downside of Gods wrath

But theres good news too!

Remember.. Gods Glory brings to the light everything there is to know about sin.

So the Glory of God exposes every lie, and unveils every deception.

Jesus put it this way

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. John John 3:19-21 3:19-21

Coming to the light is exactly what Paul refers to in Hebrews when he says we must enter into the Most Holy Place, in order to come to the Light of the full Revelation of Jesus Christ.

For many, this is a most intimidating proposition. No one can come boldly before Gods throne if they dont know Him, and love Him supremely.

To do so would be suicide, and then, the most painful one that could ever be, because they would have to endure what scripture calls the second death that Jesus suffered on the cross.

Conversely, for those that are willing to endure the chastening, the reward is like no other ever to be received this side of heaven.

As Joel said, a people like no other, there has never been the like.

No wonder then, the apostle Paul says:

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also Furthermore, the Shekinah I am known. 1 Cor 13:12 reveals the face of God.

Notice here, Paul says then shall I know, EVEN as I am known.

The saint experiences the same wrath as the sinner does.

We must understand that initially, the pain is equally great for both the saint and the sinner. The wrath of God is not a trivial matter not at all. Concerning this pain, Jesus says

A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.
Jn 16:21

Many Christians believe this passage refers to nd the 2 coming but look closer at the text.
Jesus did not say, we would see Him rather, He promises that He would see us!

Both Jn. 16 and Rev. 12 refer to the promise of the New Covenant in Jer. 31. This is what the joy and the vision are concerned with.

The reality of the full realization of sin was represented in the Sanctuary as the Most Holy Place.

For that reason, ONLY the High Priest could enter therein!

The NEW COVENANT promise is that we all shall enter into the Most Holy Place, and actually live to tell about it!

So it is that the Wrath of God is NOT ALL BAD NEWS!

At least not for those that look for His Appearing.

This is why it is so important to understand the function of the Veil.

When Paul says that Christ is that Veil between the two apartments, what he is saying is that

Jesus Christ actually protects us from the full realization of both

SIN & RIGHTEOUSNESS

God describes the sin condition as the affliction of leprosy

And the LORD said furthermore unto him, Put now thine hand into thy bosom.

And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous as snow
Exod 4:6.

God says sin is like leprosy precisely because the leper cannot feel the pain of his own disease.

Likewise, he likens the Truth of Righteousness to a blinding Light The Light of the Most Holy Place.

Either way, the person that receives the Revelation is either blinded by the Light of Truth, or overwhelmed by despair, complete hopelessness, and guilt.

Therefore, the Veil is the key to understanding what the wrath of God really means as far as the two covenants are concerned!

And again, God contrasts the two apartments by drastically contrasting the two priesthoods.

Accordingly, what we have failed to realize is that, these two apartments define the two terms OLD and NEW

COVENANT!

The (many) priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God. Heb 9:6

But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people: Heb 9:7

The High Priest alone is the very definition of the Old Covenant. It defines atonement as continual and not finished. Heb. 10: 1- 4

The promise of the New Covenant is that God WILL finish the at-one-ment process, and have a church without spot, wrinkle, or any such blemish.

The New Covenant is therefore defined as the High Priest AND His priesthood in the Most Holy Place with Him.

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, Jud 1:24

Christians must understand that this is a ONE TIME EVENT. The Bible goes to great pains to make that clear.

The Day of Atonement did not begin in 1844, nor has it begun just yet.

For God would not place upon His church such an unbearable ordeal without first warning them!

In seeing the big picture, the Veils explains that there is one reality that exists for all mankind while Christ intercedes in our behalf.

Likewise, there exists another reality beyond the Veil, a reality that has heretofore been hidden from view, for our own protection.

Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?

Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. Amos 3:6-7

Understanding the Day of the Lord and The Day of Judgment

The Wrath of God HAS to be the MOST MISUNDERSTOOD subject in the Bible!

Precisely because Satan constantly seeks to misrepresent the Character of God.

However, the Bible is VERY CLEAR on the subject.

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Rom 1:18

so the wrath of God involves a Revelation of sin.

So the Wrath of God is

7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Gal Gal 6:7 6:7

Divine Payback!

Gods justice is perfect in every way because

in the end, God does not judge anyone.

In the end. every man determines his own fate!

The The Bible Bible is is clear clear on on this this issue. issue. WHATSOEVER a man sows means

They that sow to the flesh reap from the flesh and they that sow to the Spirit, reap from the Spirit!

Its really that simple!

To repeat, the Wrath of God is a two-fold process, a type of two-edged sword if you will.

What isnt so simple is how this process is accomplished.

The process of wrath involves God revealing to men, the full measure of their iniquity.

This is, by definition, a very hard thing to do, even for God!

So how exactly does God reveal to the sin-darkened mind the light of truth about the true nature of sin?

This all important question involves the flip-side of the coin. This is the other issue that involves the Day of the Lord.

THE JUDGMENT OF THE LIVING

Most people think of the Judgment as a process whereby a verdict is rendered either guilty or innocent.

But its also true that a person is judged based on whether or not they have used good judgment.

So the Judgment is both, A legal matter for God to settle

and a personal matter that each person MUST deal with.

Which brings us back to the issue of Wisdom and Understanding.

A wise and understanding person is not easily deceived. Nor can that person easily be swayed from right doing. Proverbs speaks volumes on this issue!

Jesus gives us a solemn warning For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before.
Matt 24:24-25

The Judgment of the Living is the allimportant issue in Prophectic Symbolism.

and it is thoroughly explained by means of the symbolism of the Sanctuary.

The bottom-line issue in all of this is that, Satan will begin his last and final campaign to deceive the very elect.

As stated earlier, he must stop Gods people from proclaiming the everlasting gospel and finishing the great commission into all the world.

Therefore, as deception becomes Satans ultimate weapon of choice, good judgement also becomes the saints only defense!

The Sign of the Judgment

In one sense, the whole of the Great Controversy can be reduced to ONE WORD! CHOICE!

The Great Controversy is a battle for the minds of men.

But far too often, we make choices without the benefit of having all the knowledge and information we need.

Whats more, sin blinds us and makes us prejudiced against God and the things that really would help, and not hurt us.

Perhaps this is why the wisest man that ever lived said these words

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. Prov 4:7

The prophecy of Daniel In the end, Daniels specifically addresses the prophecy concludes issue of the Judgment, and what Satan will do to try and by saying: stop it.

Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
Dan 12:10

Both Daniel and Jeremiah share this same promise, with respect to the saints of God in the last days.

This precious promise truly is good news for the people of God, but not so good for the devil.

Satan fears this more than anything, because this is the bottom line issue of the judgment.

As stated earlier, the identity of the Little Horn is The Little Horn being found in the symbolism of the smaller one on the Altar the Tabernacle. of Incense.

To this end, understanding who the little horn is and what he does is key to gaining the victory over him.

By placing Himself between God and man, Satan seeks to deceive those who look to the Holy Place.

Just as Christ is the Faithful and True Advocate between God and man

Satan takes advantage of the Daily knowing that the transition of apartments is taking place.

thus hindering God from fulfilling His promise.

Understanding what the issues are, and what devices Satan will use constitutes what God calls in Revelation
The Seal of God

As the saints are sealed, this is the final sign that the judgment process is finished, because God will have a church that is without blemish.

To this end, those that endure this process of refinement are those that have endured the first part of the Day of the Lord.

The scenario of the last days, as God describes it, is not a very pleasant one.

But Gods promise is that the work of redemption in the earth will be accomplished!

For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. Heb 6:13-14

We can rest assured that when God makes a promise, He fully intends to keep it!

Paul refers to this promised rest as the rest of the Sabbath.

For he is not a Jew, which is Paul says in Romans 2 one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:

But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God. Rom 2:28-29

Paul well understood that the time would come when Christians would lose sight of the most important day in the Jewish year

The Holiest Sabbath of them all

Wisely enough, he does not overtly mention which Sabbath it is precisely because he is addressing the Hebrews.

That most solemn day of the year is of course

The Day of Atonement

Paul understood that the Sabbath is actually a four-step process.

A four step process that eventually brings Gods people to the shaking and the Mountain of the New Covenant Mt. Zion.

The 2 conflicts, the Shaking and the New Covenant concern the issue of the Sabbath, and therefore define it as the Sign of the Judgment.

The 4 phases are 4 Sabbaths that Paul only alludes to in Hebrews.

And all four are veiled in the Sanctuary.

The Perfect Rest

There are 4 Sabbaths in Gods plan of Redemption.

1 The Sabbath of Creation 2 The Sabbath of Deliverance 3 The Sabbath of Redemption

4 The Sabbath of Perfection

God is the Creator

But more than our Creator, He is also our Blessed Redeemer!

When asked the question:

Why is the Sabbath Day Holy?, one would have to offer these four references as the answer why.

These same four Sabbaths are represented in the Sanctuary as:

The Conclusion

The entire story of the Exodus is an object lesson of type and anti-type.

As it is written: Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
1 Cor 10:11

The Tabernacle begins with a promise, that God would give us His Blessed Son.

It concludes with the promise that God would destroy Satans dominion in the earth.

Every provision that we would ever need is provided for under the plan that God gave in the beginning.

The The(Holy) (Holy)Spirit Spirt (of Prophecy) thus reveals to man what are the prophetic insights that God has been holding in reserve for those that love Him.

The Prophecy of Daniel predicts that Gods Spirit will reveal to His people the PATH that leads to the Throne of God.

That promise God calls the Judgment of the Living

The decision to follow this path to the end, no matter what the cost, is called in prophecy, the seal of God.

The everlasting sign that God uses to represent this final victory of faith is His Sabbath, a perpetual sign of the Covenant that exists between Him and His people.

The Final Conflict and the Time of Trouble are proof that Gods people have chosen to be sealed unto the Day of Redemption.

For a brief period of time, God will allow Satan to unleash his anger and wrath upon all those in the earth that are not children of the King.

During this time, they will be allowed to believe the lie that Christ has come again, in the person of Anti-Christ.

Their final fate will be sealed as the Spirit of God finally proves that they will not repent.

The character character of Satan will will be be perfectly reproduced reproduced in in His His people, as he strives strives to to destroy destroy the remnant church church of of God. God.

But yet a little while, and He that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

At that time, the Scapegoat will be banished in the wilderness for a thousand years.

All of this is revealed in the Sanctuary

Shelter from the Storm

The Wrath of God and the Day of the Lord will be a raging storm that will come upon all the earth.

Ezekiel describes the storm as a whirlwind coming from the north.

Concerning this storm Isaiah says:

Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate, And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land. Isa 6:11-12

But even in this, God uses the Biblical Tiles of His Mosaic to tell us what we need to know about this coming storm.

Once before God destroyed the world by a storm.

By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. Heb 11:7

The word ark in Gen.6:14 is literally translated from the Hebrew word box. Its interesting to note that Paul uses a Greek word to refer to both, the Sacred Ark of the Covenant and the box of Noah.

Paul does this for good reason. The box might just as easily be translated shelter. The point here being that

we must be inside the ark just as Noah was, so that we may survive the last day storm of Gods wrath.

The three objects found in the ark explain the three things we must understand to survive the crisis

Aarons Rod that Budded

Concerning this Rod the Bible says:

And the LORD said unto Moses, Bring Aaron's rod again before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the rebels; and thou shalt quite take away their murmurings from me, that they die not. Num 17:10

The Rod that Budded is especially important in making the point that during the time of trouble, Gods true priesthood will not reject or rebel against the chastening of the Lord.

God promises in Isaiah:

In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.

And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem. Isa 4:2-3

Aarons Rod represents those that endure the shaking and the ordeal of trial by fire.

The Law of God written on tables of stone.

The Law written on stone was an eloquent statement that many Christians dont understand even today.

The Law written on stone was in fact a prophecy concerning the nation of Israel.

God was saying, in the beginning, that only a heart of stone could reject the Messiah and all the things that He had to offer to His covenant people.

God therefore says in Ezekiel:

And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh:

That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God. Ezek 11:19-20

The This ispromise the New of the New Covenant Covenant is promise of the Gods assurance seal of God in that hearts the our foreheads will changed, of be those that from a corrupt keep Gods one to a pure one. commandments.

The Pot of Manna

And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground.

And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat.
Exod 16:14-15

The Manna of Heaven fell as a gentle rain, therefore the Manna was a type of the Holy Spirit.

Gathering the manna for six This explains why no manna days represents the work of was gathered on the sanctification in the life of Sabbath. The Sabbath every Christian. represents the end of sanctification and atonement for all flesh in the earth.

The Pot of Manna is that dew that fell from heaven each day for the children of Israel in the wilderness. This graphically represents the daily portion of Gods Spirit that will sustain the remnant church during their sojourn in the last day wilderness.

The Promise of the Latter Rain

All three of these are signs as evidence that the Day of Atonement will fulfill the Promise of the New Covenant.

Israels sojourn in the wilderness thoroughly represents the time of trouble and how God faithfully demonstrates His love to Israel.

That historical Alpha is representative of the Omega, when we too will have to survive in the last day Wilderness of Sin.
