The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relevance of the concept of Six-Sigma and to examine the challenges of implementing this methodology in academia and proposes a framework that serves as a guide for implementing sixsigma in academic institutions. This paper tries to offer insight by answering two general questions: First, what is six-sigma? Second, if six-sigma affects industry and academia, then what are some of the implications? The basic premise and analysis in this study should foster an examination of the fit of six-sigma in industry and academia. It may promote a re-examination of current curriculum and accrediting principles.

It is a statistical method for analysis to reduce deficiencies in the teaching processes to almost zero. With the help of six sigma techniques, once the base is setup through statistical information by sampling and other method, an institute can get more success in minimum time.
