PAST SIMPLE.

WHAT IS PAST SIMPLE?

We use the past simple to express actions that happened in the past. These actions cannot be repeated. There are signal words that show us that we are talking in the past: yesterday, last week, last month, last year.

WHAT ARE THE VERBS IN PAST SIMPLE?

We use: WAS- WERE ( the past form of verb TO BE) Irregular verbs: these verbs are the ones who changes completely, eg: BE/ WAS , BECOME/ BECAME , SIT / SAT, RUN/RAN Regular verbs: these verbs are the one who keeps its root and we just add the ending ED. Eg: PLAY / PLAYED JUMP/ JUMPED

ANOTHER WAY TO EXPRESS PAST SIMPLE.

We use the past form of DO (DID) We use DID as an auxiliary verb for negative sentences and questions. When we use DID we dont need to change the verb into past, we keep it. EG: Did you study for the test? Did you wake up late this morning? Did you play basketball last week?
