Definition of Ethics
Ethics can be defined as the body of knowledge that deals with the study of universal principles that determine right from wrong

Ethical behavior of Nelson Mandela

He was influential in ending apartheid He is charismatic and motivates people using unorthodox methods. He began the reconciliation of a nation with rugby. He was forgiving and remained dedicated to unifying South Africa despite his mistreatment by the whites. He remains an important role model today.

His belief in, and his ability to appeal to, peoples better nature. He believes very strongly in the potential of individuals and even nation-states to change. This is not the naivete of an idle dreamer, but the convictions of a man who has been involved in causing major change, both publicly and behind the scenes. His ability to connect with other people, even his adversaries. Scott Peck, the eminent psychiatrist, once wrote that we build community out of crisis and we build community by accident, but we do not know how to build community by design. That may be true, but there is a lot we can learn from Nelson Mandela in this regard.

People saw him as a evidence of potential of human spirit His commitment to changing the practice of the adversary while maintaining respect for his/her humanity. His commitment to reconciliation as a public value and a public process. This may be his most important contribution to international affairs

The aim of the CLLC is to work with local communities and school teams to create schools and communities that live up to the legacy of Mr. Mandela.

Ethics are as important for the public servant as blood for the body He was on occasion criticized by members within the ANC for being too willing to compromise and accommodate those who had been involved in the oppression of black South Africans in the past.
