1. To obtain National Qualification Certificate, a candidate must demonstrate competence during the assessment session, covering all the identified units of competence for a particular Qualification level
2. A Certificate of Competence (CC) shall be issued to successful candidates who applied for assessment by Unit or units of Competence, or to those who exhibited competence in some unit/ units of competence during the assessment by qualification level

3. A candidate shall also be awarded with the NQC, upon accumulation of CCs required for the qualification level, as long as the validity periods of such Certificates are still active.
4. A candidate who is recommended for certification by an Assessor, will be issued NQC or CC by the Regional CoC using the Certificates provided by the FTA. It shall be signed by the concerned State Minister of Education and issued within one (1) month after the assessment
5. A fee shall be charged from each successful candidate for the issuance of the Certificate. The amount of fee will be decided by the Federal TVET Agency
6. For re-issuance of lost/ damaged certificates with legal evidence a percentage of 50 of the original fee will be added 7. The validity period of NQCs or CC shall be three (3) years

NQC and CC shall be renewed by any CoC upon expiration unless there is a change of the OS; In the event that a major change or improvement is made with the OS due to technology changes, the holder of the Certificate indicated above shall be advised to undertake assessment with the new OS to get certified
2. Two (2) consecutive renewals will be made by the signature of the Director and stamp of the CoC and on the space provided on the original certificate
Verification from the database of the issuing CoC or Federal Database Confirmation letter from employer or professional association for practicing on the occupation for the last one (1) year before the renewal Payment of Renewal fees shall be the same as the original certification
