Les origines et les fondateurs

Endava nait en 2006 de la fusion de Concise et de Compudava

John Cotterell Chief Executive Diplom de Manchester Business School en 1988. Il rejoint Cap Gemini et y assume successivement des fonctions de Business Management, Project Management and Sales and Marketing. Il dveloppe pour Cap Gemini, une unit doutsourcing de 450 personnes en Roumanie. En 2000 il fonde Concise qui fusionne avec Compudava pour devenir Endava in 2006.

The Process

The Objective
I.T. Alliance has been undertaking applications development and maintenance of critical systems for a major West European mobile operator. To ensure independent testing of these systems at a competitive price point, I.T. Alliance contracted with Endava for a managed testing service. This testing project service covered business critical systems of the mobile operator including CRM & Billing, Web Self-Service, IVR, Roaming, SMS, GPRS, and MMS. Endava was selected as the outsourcing partner by I.T. Alliance (Ireland) because Endava delivers strong expertise in software development for the business vertical at a competitive price and because Endava could guarantee access to highly-qualified testing resources.

Mercury Test Director 8.0 Testing methods: Functionality, BlackBox, Ergonomics, Device Testing (handsets), Regression, Customer Acceptance Testing, End-to-end, Project related technologies: VMS, Oracle 8 Database, web-based front-end systems.

The Solution
For this project we have a dedicated team working in a separate secured office space. The Project Management is provided by the customer and there is also a Test Lead in our company. Test case design is performed by Endavas test engineers and the test execution and the bugreporting are done directly on the customers machines. The testing platform is customer specific and involves remote access through VPN. Endava testing team follows the V-Model by undertaking an analysis and design phase (including test plans) for testing and then performing the execution of the testing. Endava used the customers Web front ends to test results in back-end systems and set up data in backend systems. The scope of Endavas work includes systems integration testing and component integration testing..

By working with Endava, I.T. Alliance achieved ongoing cost reduction and reduced time-to-market in the context of the main contractors overall project. The similar time zone facilitates communication and ensured optimal fed-back. I.T. Alliance and its customer had a high degree of confidence that business critical systems have been tested and are fit for production and as a result Endavas contract extended for a period of over three and a half years.

Endava provides Cadbury with a software development team based in Romania at Endavas Digital Media Centre of Excellence.

The Results
Endava provided the first launch of the platform within three months to a test group of over two thousand users. Four months later the platform was launched through an extensive media campaign including television, radio, billboards and Internet advertising. As the campaign builds momentum the service will be expanded to third party developers through a public API. Cadbury chose Endava because we are able to demonstrate the following:
