What is Geothermal Energy ?

Thermal energy is energy that determines the temperature of matter. Geothermal energy is power extracted from heat stored in the earth.

Source and Existence of Geothermal Energy

Earth's geothermal energy originates from: 1. the original formation of the planet 2. radioactive decay of minerals 3. volcanic activity 4. solar energy absorbed at the surface. Geothermal energy exists in the form of: 1) Volcanoes 2) Hot Springs 3) Geysers

Facts of Geothermal Energy

Renewable source One of the greatest sources of energy Clean and safe Has been in existence of over 100 years Can be found in the form of volcanoes, hot springs and geysers Italy was the first place to produce geothermal energy In 1904 Today there are more than 40 geothermal plants across USA and by 2050 geothermal energy could produce 10% of the electricity Very low emissions of greenhouse gases

Conclusions
Geothermal is clean, renewable and sustainable energy that can be utilized for world emission reduction

Through this program will reduce CO2 emission in the world
