Systems synchronized at the beginning and end of logic scan execution to keep all variable data the same, provide bumpless switchover. Configurable transfer data size up to 2Mbytes Data rate 2.12 Gbaud fiber-optic link, transfer rate of 2.1Gigabytes/second Manual toggle switch for switching control between active and backup units
Fiber optic direct connection. Systems can be up to 300 meters apart.

Low system overhead for faster processing = increased production

2010 GE Intelligent Platforms.

High Availability Synchronization

CPU Data Synchronization (each sweep)
Input transfer point occurs immediately after the inputs are scanned. At this point in the sweep, the newly read inputs are sent from the active unit to the backup unit. At the output transfer point, the rest of the data (outputs, internal references, registers) is sent from the active unit to the backup unit. Data transfers are automatic; no application program logic required Data can be transferred on either redundancy link. If one link fails, the transfer switches to the other link without causing a loss of synchronization.
