God has giving us warning (In Revelation 13 and Luke 21) that one of the major events that will lead to a passing of the National Sunday Law is a severe economic crisis. The economic crisis will further develop into a terrible crisis of civil unrest, riot, and bloodshed by the working class (because of the fraud that is practiced by many of the wealthy see James 5:1-4). It (this conflict among the working class) most terrible in the large wicked cities! The work of the people of God is to prepare for the events of the future, which will soon come upon them with blinding force. In the world gigantic monopolies will be formed. Men will bind themselves together in unions that will wrap them in the folds of the enemy. A few men will combine to grasp all the means to be obtained in certain lines of business. Trades unions will be formed, and those who refuse to join these unions will be marked men.Letter 26, 1903. {CL 10.3}

We are living in the time of the end. The fast-fulfilling signs of the times declare that the coming of Christ is near at hand. The days in which we live are solemn and important. The Spirit of God is gradually but surely being withdrawn from the earth. Plagues and judgments are already falling upon the despisers of the grace of God. The calamities by land and sea, the unsettled state of society, the alarms of war, are portentous. They forecast approaching events of the greatest magnitude. {CCh 37.1} The agencies of evil are combining their forces and consolidating. They are strengthening for the last great crisis. Great changes are soon to take place in our world, and the final movements will be rapid ones. The condition of things in the world shows that troublous times are right upon us. The daily papers are full of indications of a terrible conflict in the near future. {CCh 37.2}

There are not many, even among educators and statesmen, who comprehend the causes that underlie the present state of society. Those who hold the reins of government are not able to solve the problem of moral corruption, poverty, pauperism, and increasing crime. They are struggling in vain to place business operations on a more secure basis. If men would give more heed to the teaching of God's word, they would find a solution of the problems that perplex them. The Scriptures describe the condition of the world just before Christ's second coming. Of the men who by robbery and extortion are amassing great riches, it is written: "Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days. Behold, the hire of the laborers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth. Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter. Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you." James 5:36. {CCh 38.3}

Bold robberies are of frequent occurrence. Strikes are common. Thefts and murders are committed on every hand. Men possessed of demons are taking the lives of men, women, and little children. Men have become infatuated with vice, and every species of evil prevails. The enemy has succeeded in perverting justice and in filling men's hearts with the desire for selfish gain. "Justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter." Isaiah 59:14. In the great cities there are multitudes living in poverty and wretchedness, wellnigh destitute of food, shelter, and clothing; while in the same cities are those who have more than heart could wish, who live luxuriously, spending their money on richly furnished houses, on personal adornment, or worse still, upon the gratification of sensual appetites, upon liquor, tobacco, and other things that destroy the powers of the brain, unbalance the mind, and debase the soul. The cries of starving humanity are coming up before God, while by every species of oppression and extortion men are piling up colossal fortunes. {CCh 37.3}

The masses of people without money (or with very little money living in the cities) will be then be persuaded by religious leaders that the only solution to the problems of the terrible economy and social unrest will be a mandatory return to God in the form of a National Sunday Law. Yet this very class (religious leaders) put forth the claim that the fast-spreading corruption is largely attributable to the desecration of the so-called Christian sabbath, and that the enforcement of Sunday observance would greatly improve the morals of society. This claim is especially urged in America, where the doctrine of the true Sabbath has been most widely preached. {GC 587.1}

NEW WORLD FINANCIAL ORDER During the meeting of President Obama and Pope Benedict on July 10, 2009, Obama received an encyclical from the pope to carry out orders and dictates from the Papacy. After the meeting Obama declared there will be a new world financial order, which is leading to another fulfillment of prophecy, in which it is written: And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. REVELATION

What does the Roman Catholic Church say their MARK is? Of course the Catholic church claims that the change [i.e. Sabbath to Sunday] was her act, and the act as a MARK of her ecclesiastical authority in religious things. H.F. Thomas, Chancellor to Cardinal Gibbons. Sunday is our MARK or authority. . .the church is above the Bible, and this transference of Sabbath observance is proof of that fact Catholic Record of London, Ontario Sept 1,1923. We hold upon this earth the place of God almighty. Pope Leo XIII, Encyclical Letter, June 20, 1894.

And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast (Papacy), or the number of his name. REV. 13:17

The attempted change of the Sabbath to Sunday is the mark. As the sign of the authority of the Catholic Church, papist writers cite this very act of changing the Sabbath into Sunday. -Signs, March 22, 1910. John was called to behold a people distinct from those who worship the beast and his image, by keeping the first day of the week. The observance of this day is the mark of the beast. -7 Bible Commentary, 979/2:4. Knowing acceptance of enforced Sunday keeping is the worship of the beast. The enforcement of Sunday keeping on the part of the Protestant churches is an enforcement of the worship of the papacy -of the beast. Those who, understanding the claims of the fourth commandment, choose to observe the false instead of the true Sabbath are thereby paying homage to that power by which alone it is commanded. GC 448-449:0.

The papal Sabbath is the mark of the beast; it is his identifying signet.
The change of the Sabbath is the sign or mark of the authority of the Romish church. . The mark of the beast is the papal Sabbath. Evangelism, 234:1. The false Sabbath is the basis of Romes authority over the people. Roman Catholics acknowledge that the change in the Sabbath was made by their church, and they cite this very change as evidence of the supreme authority of the church. -Manuscript 51, 1899

The fourth Commandment is so significant to God that He used it as a test Commandment to see if His children would keep His whole law. God is going to do this again with the mark of the beast issue to find those who love Him enough to keep His law and obey Him only. The interesting part is how God tested His children to see if they would keep His Ten Commandment law. He tested them by seeing if they would keep the Seventh day or not. And did they? No, and God accused them of breaking His whole law. If they failed to keep His Seventh day Sabbath, as far as God was concerned they were not keeping any of His law. Many think we can just keep nine Commandments, yet God says if we do not keep the fourth then we are not keeping the other nine at all. We also find this principle in James 2:10 which says, For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.

Fearful is the issue to which the world is to be brought. The powers of earth, uniting to war against the commandments of God, will decree that no man may buy or sell, save he that has the mark of the beast, and, finally, that whoever refuses to receive the mark shall be put to death. [Revelation 13:15, 17.] The word of God declares: "If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation." [Revelation 14:9, 10.] But not one is made to feel the wrath of God until the truth has been brought in contact with his mind and conscience, and has been rejected. There are many in the churches of our country who have never, even in this land of light and knowledge, had an opportunity to hear the special truths for this time. The obligation of the fourth commandment has never been set before them in its true light. Jesus reads every heart, and tries every motive. The decree is not to be urged upon the people blindly. Every one is to have sufficient light to make his decision intelligently. The Sabbath will be the great test of loyalty; for it is the point of truth especially controverted. {4SP 422.2}

For there is the statement that "No man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast (Papacy), or the number of his name." "If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead or in his hand." He need not believe in it at all. But the law says, "Keep Sunday"' and if he does, then what? He has compromised with Satan and he has accepted the sign of Satan, instead of Christ. Isn't the Sabbath a sign of what God is to a man? Isn't it a sign of the true God, and is not God what He is? Then is it not a sign of what God is as well as that he is? Then the Sabbath being a sign of what God is as well as that He is, what is He? Oh, He is the Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, long-suffering and abundant in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin. He is our life (THE THIRD ANGEL'S MESSAGE 1893 A T. Jones, p.63)

Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I [am] the LORD that sanctify them. (Ezekiel. 20:12)

As men then reject the institution which God has declared to be the sign of His authority, and honor in its stead that which Rome has chosen as the token of her supremacy, they will thereby accept the sign of allegiance to Rome--"the mark of the beast." And it is not until the issue is thus plainly set before the people, and they are brought to choose between the commandments of God and the commandments of men, that those who continue in transgression will receive "the mark of the beast."--GC 449 (1911). {LDE 226.2} We are to stand the trial and test of
persecution because of allegiance to the truth. In a Sunday law there is possibility for great suffering to those who observe the seventh day. The working out of Satan's plans will bring persecution to the people of God. But the faithful servants of God need not fear the outcome of the conflict. If they will follow the pattern set for them in the life of Christ. At this time a very decided work in character building should be going forward among our people.

The final warning!

And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive [his] mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Here is the patience of the saints: here [are] they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. Rev.14: 9-12.

The world and the churches are breaking God's law, and the warning must be given, "If any man worship the beast [the Papacy]and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation." With such a curse hanging over the transgressors of God's holy Sabbath, it is my duty to reveal the cutting unvarnished truth of God, because { Jesus} the Lord of the Sabbath is not willing that none should perish, but all come to repentance.

SIN IS THE TRANSGRESSION OF GODS LAW

Sin is the transgression of Gods law {1 John. 3:4}. Even transgressing the fourth commandment (Remember the Sabbath Day) is sin and in transgressing, the wages of sin is death. The only power of God unto salvation is through the lamb of God, who was slain from the foundation of the world. Jesus predestined the whole world be save, for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. For Jesus came into this world , not to condemn the world, but the world through him be saved {John.3 16,17}. The cup of Gods wrath of indignation is about to be poured out upon all who live in transgression and sin, but we have a way of escape through Christ, the King of Righteousness. That is because he took that cup of the wrath of God for us in Gethsemane and Calvary.

The remnant will fulfill the command of Jesus in Matthew 5:48. Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. They will be terribly persecuted because of their stand for Bible truth, the Bible Sabbath and the true gospel of Christ. They will not be allowed to buy or sell. Revelation 13:17. They will be threatened with mass execution. Revelation 13:15. Yet they will not have the slightest desire to retaliate. All traces of aggression, hostility, revenge, strife, and violence will have been cleansed away from their characters. They will love and forgive their enemies even as Christ loved and forgave those cruel tormentors who abused Him mentally and physically, and nailed Him to the cross. The remnant will reflect the holy, harmless, undefiled character of Christ.

Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. (EPHESIANS. 5: 25-27). Now unto (Jesus) him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present [you] faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy. (JUDE. 24) For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of [his] good pleasure, That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world. (PHILLIPIANS. 2: 13,15) Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and [I pray God] your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thess. 5: 2223).

Here is the patience of the saints: here [are] they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. Rev.14: 9-12. The faith of Jesus, It is talked of, but not understood. What constitutes the faith of Jesus, that belongs to the third angel's message? Jesus becoming our sin-bearer that He might become our sin-pardoning Saviour. He was treated as we deserve to be treated. He came to our world and took our sins that we might take His righteousness. Faith in the ability of Christ to save us amply and fully and entirely is the faith of Jesus. {12MR 193.4} Where sin increase, grace does much more abound, therefore you are now able through the love and power of Christ to live free from sin and in obedience to Gods holy, just, and good law. Becoming a fit candidate for heaven should be our goal in this life.
