BIRTH INFORMATION

Anne Frank was the youngest daughter of Otto Frank and Edith Hollaender. Anne was born on the 12th of June in 1929 in Frankfurt, Germany. Her older sister Margot was born in 1926.

CHILDHOOD LIFE

After the Nazi takeover in Germany in January of 1933, the Franks packed up and moved to Amsterdam, Holland. Otto became the director of a food company with a warehouse and office. Anne then attended the Montessori school.

BEING A JEWISH CHILD

In the month of May year 1940, Anne was forced to go to a Jewish secondary school. All Jewish people were forced to wear the yellow Jewish star of David.

IN HIDING

In early July 1942, Margot received an order to leave for deportation. Otto Frank prepared a hideout in the hidden back portion of his warehouse. They were joined by the Mr. Van Daan, with his wife, his 16-year-old son, and a Jewish man named Dussel.

DID ANNE HAVE ANY JOBS?

Anne Frank did not have any jobs. While she may have worked at her concentration camp Bergen-Belson, she did not have a job that supported the family.

MARRIAGE

Anne was only fifteen years old when she died, so obviously she was not married. A puppy love did bud between her and Peter. This attraction soon ended because Annes father suggested it was a bad idea.

THE HISTORY OF ANNE

Anne always wanted to be a writer. This passion led to the writing of Annes diary. She planned to publish the diary when she made it out of her concentration camp. When Annes father discovered her dream after her death, he immediately published the

While Anne may have not personally received any awards, her book received countless amounts. After Annes death her diary was published in about fifty-five different languages and published world wide.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Anne Frank had only one dream, which became her one and only achievement, to have her book diary published and read world wide.

ANNE, WHAT ELSE TO KNOW?

Every single one of Annes diary entries were addressed to Kitty, a fictional character in Crissy van Marxveldts Joop ter Heul novels. The tragedy of Annes short life made her diary an instant success. Most diary entries are concerned with food, its preparation, hygiene, birthday parties and presents, and the education

ANNE FRANK A TRUE HERO

Anne may not have survived the Holocaust, but she left a mark on all the lives her diary has touched. Her writings have inspired so many and changed the aspects of many peoples lives.

THE FAME

Anne Frank never got to experience her fame. Her diary is the reason for her well earned fame.

THE PROBLEMS IN HIDING

Anne and her family went into hiding in July of 1942. The Franks, the Van Daan family, and A Jewish dentist name Dussel lived in the back of Ottos warehouse in two small apartments. One of Ottos co workers eventually turned them in.

DEPORTATION PROBLEMS

Anne was able to remain with Margot, but the rest of the family got split up. Annes mother was immediately killed. Anne and Margot died of typhus. Otto was the only one to survive out of the group.

THE DEATH OF ANNE FRANK

Anne was deported two times before she arrived to BergenBelsen where she and her sister died of typhus in March of 1945. Anne was about fifteen when she died.

WHAT IS A HERO?

A hero isnt just a person running around in tights and a cape. A hero is someone who puts the welfare of others before themselves. Someone who doesnt give up on their hopes and dreams. Someone who keeps trying when no one else has faith.

ANNE IS A HERO

Anne Frank is a hero. She may not have helped people in need. But, her diary influenced so many people. While she was alive, Anne kept faith. She believed in herself. She never gave up.
