Full on line database available of NYC and comprehensive management system in place 100% profiling of youth clubs and indicative village database is currently under process
Gigantic exercise 12000 volunteers/ 60 days covering apprx 3 lac

Control/Coordination Mechanism

Control/Coordination Mechanism
NYKS is under the control and supervision of the District Collector/Magistrate at field /Operative level. District Collector/Magistrate is the Chairperson of the District level Advisory Committee and approves the Plan of Action. DC/DM Chairperson of NYC selection committee

Control/Coordination Mechanism
All programme /Schemes implemented under overarching control/coordination of the district administration (DC/DM) Funding of most programmes however is made directly by NYKS HQ. In all the States/UT there is a State level Advisory Committee under Chairmanship of Minister of Youth Affairs .Secretary (Youth Dept) and relevant Dept/Directorate are members.

National Youth Corps (NYC)


National Youth Corps- a new scheme- enables young men and women in the age group of 18-25 yrs to serve up to two years in nation building.

OBJECTIVES
To set up a group of disciplined and dedicated youth who have the inclination and spirit to engage in the task of nation building To act as points for dissemination of information, basic knowledge in the community. To act as group modulators and peers group educators

National Youth Corps (NYC)


Eligibility Class 10th pass in J&K & NE States 12th pass and above in respect of other States Honorarium Rs. 2500/- per month to each volunteer.

Any Ministry /Dept under GoI or State Govt can enroll and deploy the volunteers under the scheme. Volunteers deployed in these Org. subject to full discipline of the Org. with which she/he works The Dept/Org deploying the volunteers will be fully responsible to supervise and manage the volunteers during their engagement. Payment of honorarium, training, skill development and any other cost towards volunteers to be borne by the concerned Dept .
