This came from the US Declaration of Independence which states:

Endowed by their Creator with Certain rights inalienable Rights this includes Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness

WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, it is an American social idea that stresses egalitarianism and especially material prosperity

Started during Americas Frontier period People started dreaming of bigger lands to settle in.

Offers material goods to Americans, which makes them proud that they are the richest society on Earth.

DREAM OF A DEMOCRACY OF GOODS

Everybody has access to the same types of goods regardless of their race, gender or class. This challenges the other countries where in only the rich and powerful have access to some of the products.

DREAM OF FREEDOM OF CHOICE

People can create their own lifestyle

DREAM OF NOVELTY
Widens the consumers experiences in the ever changing of fashions, models and other new products.
