What is Broadband ?

What is Broadband ?
Broadband or high-speed Internet access is provided by a series of technologies that give users the ability to send and receive data at volumes and speeds far greater than current Internet access over traditional telephone lines. In addition to offering speed, broadband access provides a continuous, always on connection (no need to dial-up) and a two-way capability, that is, the ability to both receive (download) and transmit (upload) data at high speeds. Its of two types: A. Narrowband B. Broadband

Why is Broadband spreading?

Broadband access-Satellite
Satellite
Like cable, satellite is a shared medium, meaning that privacy may be compromised and performance speeds may vary depending upon the volume of simultaneous use. Another disadvantage of Internet over satellite is its susceptibility to disruption in bad weather. On the other hand, the big advantage of satellite is its universal availability. Whereas DSL is not available to many South Africans, satellite connections can be accessed by anyone with a satellite dish facing the This makes satellite Internet access a possible solution for rural or remote areas not served by other technologies.

ADVANTAGES
It helps in creating an easy way for fields in video , t . v and movies. It is a better way of communication. It has multicarrier spread spectrum. It provides buffering.

LIMITATIONS
It has low level syncronization algorithm. It has cost coverage. The disadvantage of multisensors include need far field scene.

CONCLUSION
In practice what broadband customer see today is largely a better version of internet access that they can enjoy with dial-up ISP service, featuring web page viewing, email, messaging and others. The prime motivation for residential broadband access is simply to improve the performance of overall web browsing experience.
