 Its convenient to have some kind of theory in a profession, but its essential to have all the experience one can get. Moving from theories , books and note taking only to actual work and practice is never easy, but is sure carries a great deal of exciting ordeals, and memorable moments while trying to manage your position with all the professionalism , hard work, and ethics you have.

Being a trainee in clinics next year would be different than your three previous years of study, because now youll be dealing with people firsthand, So aside from how good you are at practical work you must acquire a great deal of communication skills ,learn the essentials of time management, and maintain a business like appearance. All these will help you through your practice years, it will make your job easier and a lot more manageable.

Communication skills
As the title inclines, communication is a skill. Meaning youll have to work on it and enhance it. Dealing with patients means that you are going to explain what would you do, in the easiest way possible, keeping away from your own medical terms.

Respect your patients, dont act superior, because you are not. you are being tested everyday for your ability to become a doctor, so keep a good attitude and do the right thing even when its hard.

Time management
A couple of important rules will help you manage your time best: Punctuality, keeping a time table, punctuality, leave extra time for emergencies, and most important Being punctual is the basic rule to gain and receive respect in the clinic.

You will deal with your supervisors on daily bases, And youll deal with patients as well , so be always on time . Just remember that tardiness often robs us opportunity

Although to dress formal is mandatory , and some of you will fined it annoying but it actually gives you a more reliable appearance and makes you more trust worthy .

Helps you in Prosto ,Cons and surgery clinics , Provides you with tools , discusses your work , hold the Suction . No partners in Ortho and Radio Clinics You are not going to share your mark with your partner .

You should take a suitable partner , so that he/she can cooperate with you in your worst mood. Avoid being a partner of a NERD ! Avoid being the CR partner because he will have to leave the clinic so often ! Your partner ( Same Gender or Not ) ! How you divide the Clinics between you and your Partner .

Choose someone can makes you cheer up in your bad moments , a person know how to re-fill your energy and encourage you to do your best . Stay away from being selfish! either with your partner or your group and keep in your mind ( )

Your Group!
You will be divided into groups , and the number of students in each group will be according to how many you are . The number of student in each group will be almost equally distributed. So aside of choosing your partner ,you also have to choose a group which you will be with the hole year ! Its good to be in a group with people you are in harmonize with.

Your very first clinic ..

Prsthodontics clinic !
1- You are going to do 2 Complete denture , and (1) RPD . 2- one complete denture for each semester , One of them you are going to do the whole work ( the Clinic + Lab ) , the other one will be much easier causes you will have to do only the clinic work . 3-Five or Six visits only to complete the whole Denture . 4- The lab work have to be done in your (FREETIME ).

5- Your Patient should have a healthy ridges . 6- RPD should be CLASS III 7- For RPD , You have to do the Clinical work only ! 8- 10 JD is the cost of the Complete Denture , 5 For the RPD .

9- You Should have your own Tools .. ( Bowl , Spatula , wax knife , Lighter and scapula ) 10- There is a LAB- Sheet , that you have to Fill every visit . 11- Try to bring many Pt. causes many of the cases will be rejected . 12- always Remember your pt name , and take at least two mobile numbers of him . 13 You should always check your patients file and fill it with you clinical work notes. 14- Demonstration will be done ONCE for each stage .

Conservative clinic !
1- Requirement paper will be given to you , so you have to work according to it . 2- You should always try to work in your UNIT , dont leave it .

Conservative clinic !
3-pts will be provided from the DTC , But you can still bring your own pts. 4- You have to do TWO RCT pts. During the year. 5-Tools will be provided by the DTC. 6- You should Check the pt file and Fill it in a proper way each time you finish your work .

Pediatric clinic !
1- Requirement paper will be given to you , You have to work according to it . 2-You and your partner will work in the same day , On the same patient .

Pediatric clinic !
3-pts have to be between the ages of 6 to 12 . 4-Tools will be provide from DTC 5- you will take many lectures and show your work in the Clinic 6- for this clinic , always come prepared because an Oral Quiz will be done every clinical session. 7- Pedo clinics are at the University .

Periodontal clinic !
1- In your First semester , You have to do the work on your Partner . You will face real patients in your second semester . 2- Demonstration will be done before the clinic and then you should practice your work .

Periodontal clinic !
3- Special Dress-code for this clinic . 4- Tools will be provided by the University. 5-Perio clinics are at the University.

Radiology clinic !
1-A Quiz will be done every single clinic . 2-All Students in the group should do the same number of requirements because an average will be taken for the whole group 3-Post-Graduate Students will help you to finish your work .

Oral diagnosis clinic !

1- No pts for the first semester . You will do the work on your Partner 2- Demonstration will be done before each clinic 3-You will apply what you will learn in the theory lecture . 4- Pts are provided by the DTC.

Surgery clinic !
1- Post-Graduated students will help you in each clinic 2- The whole group should cooperate together so that they can get a full mark , because the requirements will be evaluated by average 3-You should check pts file and fill it each time you finish your work . 4- Patients will be provided by the DTC , But you can still bring your own pt.

Orthodontics Lab !
1- No clinic , just lab work . 2- No dress-code for this Lab 3- Tools will be provided by the university 4- It is held at the University 5- Demonstration will be done in one lab and you have to do the work in the next lab .

HBV vaccine !
You have to take it from now ..its 3 dosages , you take the 1st one then after one month you should take the 2nd one .. After six months you take the 3rd one .
