So what now?
Ideally the promotion of unattainable superficial and damaging beauty would cease to exist
But the chances of that happening is very rare although from the previous video, steps are being taken by some brands. What we must do is not allow the definitions of beauty in the mainstream taint the way we view and value ourselves and like with all things. Islam offers a beautiful solution to the problem of beauty

How does Islam illustrate and define Beauty?
The Messenger of Allah, was not excessively tall or short. He was not very pale nor dark. He did not have curly hair or lank hair. ..There were not twenty white hairs in his hair or beard, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
Maliks Muwatta Hadith, Volume 49, Number 1
The Prophet (PBUH) had a most handsome constitution. Some gave the smile of his beauty to that of the full moonHis nose was thin His face was smoothHis beard was thickHis neck was the most beautifulIf the rays of the sun fell on his neck, it appeared like a cup of silver mixed with gold The place between his shoulders was wide.

Beauty Tips
1. Dont try and attain the unattainable standard of beauty that exists around us 2. Always smile , be well presented, be gentle and tender to all 3. Learn the supplications and prayers and make it part of your beauty regime 4. Always be grateful and expect wholeheartedly that Allah SWT will increase you
A good friend and a bad friend are like a perfume-seller and a blacksmith: The perfume-seller might give you some perfume as a gift, or you might buy some from him, or at least you might smell its fragrance. As for the blacksmith, he might singe your clothes, and at the very least you will breathe in the fumes of the furnace. [Bukhari, Muslim]
