A STUDY ON EMPLOYEE ATTITUDE AND JOB SATISFACTION WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO MRF LTD.

HISTORY OF MRF
MRF LIMITED, established in 1946,MRF inaugurated its kottayam unit in 1969,as the second plant of MRF with a small rubber mixer and seven employees. In 2011 kottayam unit work force is nearly 800.Export of products to more than 75 countries worldwide.

Objectives of the study: General Objective To study the attitude and job satisfaction of employees in MRF Ltd. Specific Objectives To find out the relationship between working conditions and job satisfaction To find out the relationship between training opportunities and job efficiency

To find out the relationship between safety procedures and machinery condition

To find out the relationship between quality of work life and job satisfaction
To find out the relationship between welfare measures and job satisfaction To know the employees expectations from the organization To make suggestions to improve the attitude of the employees to the management.

Scope of the Present Study: This study plays an important role in enhancing the effectiveness with which work and other human activities are carried out and to maintain or enhance certain desirable human values in the process, health, safety, satisfaction etc.. So the study was aimed at finding the relevance and importance of employee attitude and job satisfaction in todays workplace.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Sample size: 100 Data collection methods Primary Secondary Research design: Descriptive Data Analysis and Interpretation: The data was collected by using questionnaires. Percentage analysis and hypothesis testing are applied to analyze and interpret data. Regression, ANOVA and independent samples t test was used to test the hypothesis.

Findings
Out of 100 respondents 68% are male. 44% of the respondents have Rs. 5000 10000 salary per month. 44% of the respondents have above 4 years of experience. 41% of the respondents are satisfied with their job. 36% of the respondents agrees that training helps them to do a job efficiently and effectively. 39% of the respondents agrees with the training provided by the firm. 41% of the respondents agrees that the management of the firm have created an open and comfortable work environment. 37% of the employees in the organization agrees that the management recognize and make use their abilities and skills.

39% of the employees in the organization agrees that the management is flexible and understands the importance of balancing their work and personal life. 42% of the respondents agrees that their managers provide continuous feedback. 42% of the respondents are agrees that co-workers work well together to solve problem and get the job done. 53% of the respondents argues that relationship between employer and employee is very good. 45% of the respondents said that they are highly secured with their job. 42% of the respondents satisfied with the safety procedure followed by the organization.
