interfacing, interrupt handling, memory and IO addressing
network organization etc

hardware needed to run the software in a
microcomputer systems
• They should have an in-depth understanding of
– Designing of the components

– bus buffering techniques
– memory, microprocessor-supporting chips:
• Clock Generator and Driver, Bus Controller, USART, DMA

Term Paper
• Individual Research Paper
– To impart training to write/ present tech papers
– To agitate the minds to search and explore stuff and latest
trends in the field
• Topics along with abstract are invited by third week and
term paper will be submitted in 13th week
– During 7th week progress presentation on the paper
• Term paper presentation in last three weeks
• Important to note
– Questions will be asked from some selected term papers in the
final exam/viva-voice
– No reminder will be issued for the submission of the paper
– 5 marks will be awarded on:
• Timely submission, originality and relevance

General Rules
• Students should attend all classes
– 80% attendance is must
• Student should not miss any Exams,
– student will be assigned a zero mark in any Exam or quiz (including
the final ) for which he or she was absent without an accepted excuse
– No retest, or makeup quiz
• Attendance will be recorded at random intervals or at the
beginning of each lecture,
– instructor reserve the right not to allow any student who comes late
into the classroom
• The instructor may choose to assign quizzes for immediate
verification of student understanding of selected concepts;
– therefore you must be present to avail this benefit.

LATE JOINING
