INTRODUCTION
• Mineral origin of material contains many physical ,
chemical impurities.
• Purification (Shodhana) and reduction to bhasma
(Marana) form, is lengthy, tedious procedure in
some cases.
• In Rasagranthas we have reference about
Bhunagasatwabhasma.
• Explained as substitute to Tamrabhasma which is
of animal origin ( which requires comparatively less
duration).
