Abortion

1
2
The term abortion is the termination of pregnancy
before the viability of the fetus. (Viability around 6
months)
Two kinds of abortion:

Spontaneous Abortion
or Miscarriage
(natural causes)

Induced Abortion
(Medical Termination of
Pregnancy or MPT)

this world an unborn babys heart is
stopped by abortion...

Methods of Abortion
Vacuum Aspiration
Dilation and Curettage
Saline Injection
Dilation and Evacuation
Partial-Birth Abortion
Hysterotomy
Prostaglandin Abortion
Non-Surgical Abortion
5
Vacuum Aspiration (7 12 weeks)
A powerful suction tube with a sharp cutting
edge is inserted into the womb through the
dilated cervix. The suction dismembers the
body of the developing baby and tears the
placenta from the wall of the uterus,
sucking blood, amniotic fluid, placental
tissue, and fetal parts into a collection
bottle.
6
Dilation and Curettage (D&C) (12 14 weeks)
When the baby is too big to be sucked out by the suction method a D&C
is performed. In this technique, the cervix is dilated or stretched to
permit the insertion of a loop/cigar shaped steel knife. The body of the
baby is cut into pieces and removed with ovum forceps and the placenta
is scraped off the uterine wall.
After 12 weeks this method could cause uterine perforation.

Saline Injection (16 -24
weeks)
Is used after 16 weeks of
pregnancy, when enough fluid has
accumulated in the amniotic fluid
sac surrounding the baby. A needle
is inserted through the mothers
abdomen and 180 ml of amniotic
fluid is withdrawn (amniocentesis)
and replaced with a solution of
concentrated salt. The chemical
solution also causes painful burning
of the babys skin. The baby
breathes in, swallowing the salt, and
is poisoned. Usually, after about an
hour, the child dies. The mother
goes into labor about 18 to 36 hours
after and delivers the placenta and
a burned, and shriveled baby.

and was aborted with saline
injections. His skin was burned
off while he was still alive. You
can still see the expression on
his face of PAIN and
SUFFERING

Dilation and Evacuation
(D&E) (after 14 weeks)
Also known as partial-birth
abortion. Aborts unborn children
as old as 24 weeks, and is similar to
the D&C. The difference is that
forceps with sharp metal jaws are
used to grasp parts of the developing
baby, which are then twisted and torn
away. This continues until the childs
entire body is removed from the
womb. Because the babys skull has
often hardened to bone by this time,
the skull must be crushed to be
removed. If not carefully removed,
sharp edges of the bones may cause
cervical laceration. Bleeding from the
procedure may be profuse.
D&C - body parts are cut into
pieces and taken out

13
Partial-Birth Abortion (20 32 weeks or even later)
Guided by ultrasound, the abortionist reaches into the uterus, grabs the
unborn babys leg with forceps.
14
The baby is pulled into the birth canal, except for the head, which is deliberately kept
just inside the womb. (At this point in a partial-birth abortion, the baby is alive.)
15
Then the abortionist jams a blunt scissors-like instrument into the back of the
babys skull and spreads the tips of the scissors apart to enlarge the wound.
After removing the scissors, a suction catheter is inserted into the skull and
the babys brains are sucked out. The collapsed head is then removed from
the uterus.

Hysterotomy (2nd & 3rd
Trimesters)
Similar to the Caesarean Section, this is
used if chemical methods such as salt
poisoning or prostaglandins fail . Incisions
are made in the abdomen and uterus
and the baby, placenta, and amniotic
sac are removed. Babies are sometimes
born alive during this procedure, raising
questions as to how and when these infants
are killed and by whom.
The umbilical cord is usually cut
while the baby is still in the
womb, thus cutting off his
oxygen supply and causing him
to suffocate. Sometimes the baby
is removed alive and simply left
in a corner to die of neglect or
exposure.
