UV Treatments

UV treatment is a proven method of Ozone destruction

UV radiation from ultraviolet water systems alone is not suitable for water
with high levels of suspended solids, turbidity, color, or soluble organic matter

Water turbidity makes it difficult for the ultraviolet radiation to penetrate

water

For a UV system to work effectively the water must be pre-filtered to exclude

any particles larger than 5 microns (nominal) in size

Ultraviolet systems (UV) expose supply water to intense ultraviolet radiation,

which kill pathogenic bacteria (cholera, typhoid, salmonella, dysenteriae, etc.),
virus however is not effective against cysts
