WHAT IS THE TRAVEL PROFILER ??
• A marketing company that will bridge the gap between the direct
consumer and the service provider in the distribution channels of
hospitality products.
HOW? by -
• Combining the power of referrals and networking.
• Lower dependence on the Travel Agents to promote the products.

• FOCUSED Marketing instead of MASS Marketing.


• Convenient and a ‘one-on-one’ business relationship with the Seller.
• While providing this service, the salesperson gains unlimited
income, which translates to financial independence.

• Definition of a PROFILER - A person who has his/her own profile


instead of working under a company profile. He/she is an
independent business-person.
WHY IS TRAVEL PROFILER NOT A
M.L.M. COMPANY??
• Travel Profiler Sdn Bhd does NOT charge any
entrance/membership fees. It uses an accreditation system.
• There is NO cash transaction between buyer and seller. The
seller only has excess to a system and commissions are only
paid after usage and not before, as with ‘products’.
• NO initial purchases are required.
• There are NO ‘physical products’, so NO distributors. The
Travel Profiler only allows non-exclusive independent agents,
which means the Agent only has excess to use the system.
• There are basically only 2 levels and NOT multi-leveled. The
Regional Manager is appointed from the top performing
District Managers.
• The system is NOT infinite, unlike the MLM system. The
accreditation is only open to a maximum of 1,000 agents
worldwide, 600 national and 400 international.
THE SET-UP….
• The management company is Travel Profiler Sdn Bhd.

• Gerard Sta Maria is the CEO, reporting to a Board of Directors, comprising of prominent hoteliers.

• Travel Profiler Sdn Bhd was set up in March 2003 with a pioneer batch of 30 Sales Agents, who are
given the profile of Hospitality Agents(HA).

• The company targets to have 600 Profilers nationwide by January 2004.

• By December 2004, Travel Profiler will target the overseas markets with a total strength of 800
Profilers.

• As for the resorts in the system, Travel Profiler Sdn Bhd started with 4 properties; one in Langkawi, one
in KL, one in Kuang and one in Bali.

• By January 2004,Travel Profiler will have at least 10 properties in the system; targeting Penang,
Cherating, Melaka and Johor Bahru.

• By June 2004, Travel Profiler plans to recruit properties in the Maldives, Mauritius and Australia,
bringing the total to at least 15 properties in the system.
THE STRUCTURE….
• The Pioneer Batch of 30 Hospitality Agents will each refer 20 Hospitality Agents (HA) into
the system.

• Once achieved, the said Agent will be upgraded to the position of District Manager(DM),
who will oversee the performance of his/her team of 20 Agents.

• The DM will decide to terminate access to his/her non-performing HA’s in the system
(those not meeting the minimum RM9,000 sales in 6 months) and replace with
new HA’s, in order to meet the minimum targets of the group.

• Top performing HA’s (HA’s with RM30,000 personal sales in 3 months) would be given
the option to move up to DM’s to form another group of 20 HA’s, if he/she so wishes.
The HA’s personal sales will continue to be calculated as group sales for the DM who
sponsored the HA.

• The CEO will appoint a Regional Sales Managers(RSM) from the pool of District
Managers, who will oversee the performance of every 5 District Managers(DM); I.e. a
total of 105 Sales Agents (100 HA’s and 5DM’s)

THE SYSTEM - Part 1
• The Profiler Reservations Systems is via the www.travel-profiler.com. website, linked
to the Signforce Gates (optional).
This is how the system works -
– Each property who wants to be featured in the system will be accredited by the CEO of Travel Profiler
Sdn Bhd, ensuring that only resorts with the highest service delivery standards are recruited.
– The property will then be featured in the www.travel-profiler.com website, which has a link to the
individual property’s reservation system.
– The rates for the packages displayed in the website will be the Consumer Price.
– Besides the website, a special sales kit comprising of brochures, rates and pertinent information on the
location and its activities will be utilised by the Profiler for his/her sales presentation. This kit is
provided by Travel Profiler at no cost to the property or the Hospitality Agent.
– The HA will also have a chart showing - Agent’s Rate(AR) & Consumer Rate(CR). The difference of the
CR and AR will be the commission given to the HA.
THE SYSTEM - Part 2
• How does a HA do the booking and gain the
income?
• Each HA will have a code and password given, upon registering.
• The HA will then proceed to do a booking for his/her client using
the on-line system in the www.travel-profiler.com website,
whereby the resorts’ links are located.
• Guaranteed bookings will be via credit card or bank transfer to
the resort. Cancellation policy will be 72 hrs. All cancellations
after the period will be borne by the guest.
• When the client checks in, the normal check-in procedure will
apply. The guest pays the resort directly for all incidental charges
incurred.
• Any extension of room request by the guest will be managed at
hotel’s discretion. This room rate quoted will be based on the
published rate and should not be lower than rates quoted by
Profiler Sdn Bhd.
• Payment is done to the HA’s via HA’s Bank Account/Cheque not
more than 21 days after guest check out.

WHAT IS THE AGENT’S
GAIN?...
For Hospitality Agents (HA’s) -
• 15-20% sales commission ( depending on the packages)

• 2% incentive bonus given for > RM18,000 worth of sales in 3 months, payable every 3
months.
Example :

• Lets say, minimum sales for 3-months is RM18,000, at 20% commission, i.e. RM3,600
plus 2% bonus (RM360) = RM3,960 nett income for 3 months.
For District Managers (DM’s) -

• 15-20% sales commission ( depending on the packages)

• 2% incentive bonus given for > RM18,000 worth of sales in 3 months, payable every 3
months.

• 2% group sales bonus on a minimum of RM380,000 worth of 3-month group sales .


Example :

• Lets say, minimum personal sales of RM18,000 at 20% commission, i.e. RM3,600 plus
2% bonus (RM360) = RM3,960 nett income. If his team (20HA’s) total 3-month sales
reaches RM380,000, D.M. will get a 2% bonus on group sales, which is RM7,600. Total
nett income for 3 months will be RM11,560.
WHAT WILL BE THE
REGIONAL MANAGER’S
(RM) GAIN?…..
• For Regional Managers (RM’s) -
• 15-20% sales commission (depending on the packages)
• 2% incentive bonus given for > RM18,000 worth of sales in 3
months, payable every 3 months.
• 2% regional sales bonus on a minimum of RM1.9m worth of 3-month
regional sales .
Example :
• With a personal minimum sales of RM18,000, income is RM3,960. If
his team (100HA’s + 5DM’s) total 3-month sales is RM1.9m, R.M. will
get a 2% Bonus on regional sales, which is RM38,000. Total 3-month
nett income will then be = RM41,960.
THE BONUS INCENTIVE SCALE STRUCTURE
Bonus Incentive Scale -
• Payable every 3 months with cut-off dates being 31st March, 30th June, 30th
Sept. and 31st Dec.

HOSPITALITY AGENT-
• Total 3 months Sales -
• > RM18,000 to RM36,000 = 2% Incentive on total sales
• 1st RM36,000 @2% Incentive, Additional Sales above RM36,000 @3% Incentive.
How to achieve :
• Agent just have to contribute RM6,000 per month for 3 months (total sales of
RM18,000) to get a bonus incentive - RM360.00.
(RM6,000 is approximately 2-3 vacation packages sold in a month)
• With an increase to RM13,000 per month for 3 months (total sales of RM39,000)
- Bonus will now be : 1st RM36,000 @2% = RM720.00. Additional RM3,000
Sales @3% = RM90.00. Total = RM810.00 !!
(RM13,000 is approximately 4-5 vacation packages sold in a month)
THE BONUS INCENTIVE SCALE STRUCTURE
Bonus Incentive Scale -
• Payable every 3 months with cut-off dates being 31st March, 30th June, 30th
Sept. and 31st Dec.

DISTRICT MANAGER-
• Total 3 months Group Sales-
• > RM380,000 to RM580,000 = 2% Incentive on total sales
• 1st RM580,000 @2% Incentive, Additional Sales above RM580,000 @3%
Incentive.
How to achieve :
• Each team-member just have to contribute RM6,000 every month. Each
District Team has 21 Profilers, I.e. RM380,000 total sales - Bonus is RM7,600.
• With an increase to RM10,000 per month for 3 months (total sales of the group
will be RM630,000), Bonus will now be : 1st RM580,000 @2% = RM11,600.
Additional RM50,000 Sales @3% = RM1,500. Total = RM13,100 !!

(RM10,000 is approximately 3-4 vacation packages sold in a month)


THE BONUS INCENTIVE SCALE STRUCTURE
Bonus Incentive Scale -
• Payable every 3 months with cut-off dates being 31st March, 30th June, 30th
Sept. and 31st Dec.

REGIONAL MANAGER-
• Total 3 months Regional Sales -
• > RM1.9m to RM2.5m = 2% Incentive on total sales
• 1st RM2.5m @2% Incentive, Additional Sales above RM2.5m @3% Incentive.
How to achieve :
• Each team-member just have to contribute RM6,000 every month. Each Regional
Team has 106 Profilers, I.e. RM1.9m in total sales - Bonus is RM38,000.
• With an increase to RM8,000 per month for 3 months (total sales of the regional
group will be RM2,544,000), Bonus will now be : 1st RM2.5m @ 2% = RM50,000.
Additional RM44,000 Sales @3% = RM1,320. Total Bonus = RM51,320!
WHAT CAN I DO WITH THE
COMMISSIONABLE RATES GIVEN TO ME?
….
You may do the following :
• Give 5-10% of your commission to your client as an incentive for buying from you.
• Donate 5% of the commission to a charitable cause, or if you’re a DM, set aside part
of the group’s commissions to attend motivational/educational seminars.

• Keep the entire 20% commission as your gain.


• Use part of the commission, maybe 5% to purchase Shopping Vouchers as gifts for
every booking made by your client.
• Make a booking yourself and give a free holiday as a surprise anniversary or
birthday gift to your loved ones or your major clients in your other portfolios.
• Give a Free Holiday to your clients for every 10 confirmed bookings.
• Give 10% of your commission to the organiser for group tours.
• Add up the commissions and get a free vacation for yourself and family.

You now have your OWN business with no investment, there is no


reason why you cannot create your OWN success!!

Marketing the ‘Experience’ lies in the creativity of the Profilers. Below are some
marketing ideas that will assist you in achieving success as a Profiler:
• SMS (Short Messaging System) -
Send Weekly SMS to your clients, informing them of the latest hot deals/specials or any
vacation tip that you would like to share. Remind them of upcoming school holidays,
long weekends or their wedding anniversary, birthday’s etc.
• E-mail Blitz -
Special e-tour shells are available in profiler.com.my website. You just need to select
the package that you want to promote and then send to your clients’ database on a
weekly or monthly basis.
• Road Shows -
Have a booth set up at major shopping malls promoting the packages. The cost may be
shared amongst 5 Profilers, headed by a District Manager.
• Special Deals for Staff of Client’s Company –
Hold presentations for staff of companies where the Head/Owner is a client who has
had the ‘experience’ at one of the resorts. Offer ‘value-added’ services.
HOW CAN I MARKET THESE GREAT
“EXPERIENCES”?
• Sales Presentation at Own Residence -
Have a monthly Profiler-Party at your residence or at a close friend’s house, inviting 10 to 20
persons for a Tea/BBQ Presentation. Have a Lucky Draw after the presentation.

• Joint Promotion with Up-market Bridal Shops -


Have a joint-promotion with the Owners of Bridal Shops, giving 10% discounts on honeymoon
packages. Offer a Free Holiday when more than 20 bookings are made in a year.
• Group Discounts for Senior Citizen’s Club Members –
Have joint-promotions with a Senior Citizens Club. Offer the Hot Deals, as the members can
travel during low seasons. Absorb the cost of the coach-transfer when in-group travel of more
than 20 persons.
• Easy-payment Scheme for Clients –
Offer close friends/clients an ‘easy-payment’ scheme. You pay for the holidays first and the
client pays you on a monthly basis.

• ‘Cash–Pool’ System –

Arrange a group of neighbors/clients to start a ‘pool’, where each contributor pays a certain

amount, with the total making up the cost of a package.
