The solar panel is positioned on the side
of the boat.
Increase the area of the panel exposed to
sunlight.
More photons is absorbed and increase the
amount of electricity transferred to the motor.
This system more effective than the pulley
system.
The system will decrease the waste of energy
and increase the efficiency of the boat.
The motion of the motor is directly transferred to
the propeller and reduce the loss of kinetic
energy.

Solar cell are devices that convert sunlight directly into
electricity by the photovoltaic affect.
Electrons in a solar cell absorb photon energy in sunlight.
Photons are particles of light in sun rays.
Photon:
-elementary particle , the quantum of the electromagnetic
field.
-the basic unit of light and all other forms of electromagnetic
radiation.

Photons in sunlight hit the solar panel and are
absorbed by semiconducting materials such as
silicon.

An array of solar cells converts solar energy into a
usable amount of direct current (DC) electricity.
These photons (bits of sunlight) knock electrons
loose from the atoms inside the semiconductor.
Photons then push the electrons along , leaving a
gap in the atom. Another electron is then pulled
from an adjacent atom to fill the gap.
The electron flow provides the current and the cells
electric field causes a voltage.
The sunlight is absorbed and the energy is
transferred to the DC motor through the positive
terminal.
At DC motor, the electric energy will turn to
kinetic energy.
Then, the propeller will move .
