Color are certain wavelengths of electro-magnetic energy
seen through our eyes . The color we see is the part of the
visible spectrum that is refleced back by a certain object.
Color plays a very major role in setting up of a particular ,
moods and emotions. Chromo therapy is method of treatment
of diseases by color. It was popular method of cure even in
ancient times

INTRODUCTION
Some 2500 years ago, Pythagoras applied color
light therapeutically
Color halls were used for healing in ancient
Egypt, China and India
The pioneer of modern chromo therapy was Niels
Finsen of Denmark in 1877
he studied the possibility of assisting the healing
of wounds with visible light

Dr. S. Pancoast wrote "Blue and Red Light; or, Light
and Its Rays as Medicine" in 1877
Edwin Dwight Babbitt wrote "The Principles of Light
and Color" in 1878
In 1933 Dinshah P. Ghadiali explain why and how the
different colored rays have various therapeutic
effects on organisms

CONTD
Color therapy or Chromotherapy also known
as colorology, is a complementary medicine
method.
Color therapy or color healing is the use of
color in various forms for the purpose of
creating balance and health in the human
system

2. Secondary color
TYPES OF COLOR THERAPY

TYPES OF COLOR THERAPY
In a Colorpuncture treatment, frequencies of colored light are focused on the skin using
a hand-held acu-light tool (see Colorpuncture Products) with specially designed, hand-
made interchangeable glass rods which emit different colors of light through a focused
tip. Each color consists of different wavelength frequencies of light and therefore
communicates different energetic information. Treatments include a specific set of
points in a sequence using a prescribed pattern of colors.
As the light is absorbed by the skin and transmitted along energetic pathways or
meridians deep into the body, it stimulates intra-cellular communication which supports
healing.
Colorpuncture therapy uses precisely targeted light treatments to gently unlock and
release emotional trauma and blocked soul information which often underlie our
illnesses. Patients report not only changes in their bodies, but improved emotional
outlooks and a clearer sense of life direction after treatments.
SAMASSATI COLR THERAPY
Samassati colr therapy is rooted in color
puncture in which the techniques of colr
therapy is used. The difference is that the
man emphasis is done on sensing the
effects of specific colors, listening to ones
intution regarding color and placement,
and feeling the effects of color .
COLOR SILKS THERAPY
Colored silks on the body, primarily over the chakra
centers. Also being natural fabrics, cotton and wool
carry a healing vibration as well, but silk carries the
highest frequency vibration of any natural cloth.
Because of this, colored silks have the ability to
radiate their signature color frequency to the
physical body and energy field (aura).
The energy of silk is soft yet potent, allowing one to
soak up the color frequency. One of the beauties of
Color Silks Therapy is that you can place an entire
sheet of color over the entire body, or place an
single color on a particular part of the body.

CRYSTAL HEALING OR CRYSTAL THERAPY
Crystal Healing or Crystal Therapy is the laying on of
stones to restore balance to the chakra system and
heal the physical body, emotions, mental thoughts
and the spirit. Stones are placed based on color,
quality, sacred geometry.
chakras are points or knots, in the subtle human
body. They are located at the physical counterparts
of the major plexuses of arteries, veins and nerves.
Chakras are part of the subtle body, not the physical
body, and as such are the meeting points of the
subtle (non-physical) energy channels, called nadiis.
Yoga medicine describes the body as having seven
main chakras, which are spiritual centers located
along the spine that are associated with a color,
function and organ or bodily system
Color Chakra Chakra location Alleged function Associated system
Red First Base of the spine Grounding and Survival
Gonads, kidneys, spine,
sense of smell
Orange Second Lower abdomen, genitals Emotions, sexuality
Urinary tract, circulation,
reproduction
Yellow Third Solar plexus Power, ego
Stomach, liver, gall bladder,
pancreas
Green Fourth Heart
Love, sense of
responsibility
Heart, lungs, thymus
Blue Fifth Throat
Physical and spiritual
communication
Throat, ears, mouth, hands
Indigo Sixth
Just above the center of
the brow, middle of
forehead
Forgiveness, compassion,
understanding
Eye, pineal glands
Violet Seventh Crown of the head
Connection with universal
energies, transmission of
ideas and information
Pituitary gland, the central
nervous system and the
cerebral cortex

COLORS USED IN TREATMENT
Certain colors affect specific parts of your body when used for promoting
your health:
Indigo - effective for curing eye, ear, nose and mental disorders.
Blue - helps in relief from headache, muscle cramps, migraine, stomach
pain.
Green - is used for curing cough, inflammation of joints, bronchitis, eye
disorders, diabetes and cysts.
Yellow - helps in treatment of disorders of glands, lymph system,
metabolism and nervous system.
Orange - helps in treatment of depression, mental disorders, pessimism,
arteriosclerosis, loss of appetite, and stomach cramps.
Red - is used for treatment of anemia, skin disorders, asthma and chronic
coughs.
There is some evidence that colour affects our mood and
general wellbeing. In 1958, US scientist Robert Gerard
conducted a study that claimed red stimulates and makes us
anxious, while blue promotes calm. He also showed that
colour could affect appetite, blood pressure and aggression.
Ingrid Collins, a consultant psychologist is convinced that
chromatherapy can effect our energy levels. "We know that
the cells of the human body are constructed from atoms and
that each atom consists of particles of energy in constant
motion," she says. "We are therefore at the most
fundamental level made of energy and information, so when
we add a particular colour we are adding energy into our
lives.

IS THERE ANY EVIDENCE.?
CONCLUSION
Chromo therapy is method of treatment of diseases by
color.
It is best used as supportive therapy along with other
natural method of prevention
Such as;- correct diet, adequate rest and relaxation, yoga,
exercise, etc
