But we have this treasure in jars of clay to
show that this all-surpassing power is from

Samson's
destiny
You will become pregnant and give birth to a
son, and his hair must never be cut. For he will
be dedicated to God as a Nazirite from birth.
He will begin to rescue Israel from the
Philistines.

(Judges 13 5)
I knew you before I formed you in your
mothers womb. Before you were born I set
you apart and appointed you as my prophet to
the nations.

(Jeremiah 1 5)
For we are Gods masterpiece. He has created
us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the
good things he planned for us long ago.

(Ephesians 2:10)
...the Lord blessed him as he grew up. And the
Spirit of the Lord began to stir him...

One day when Samson was in Timnah, one of
the Philistine women caught his eye...
(Judges 14:1)
So Samsons wife came to him in tears and
said, You dont love me; you hate me! You
have given my people a riddle, but you havent
told me the answer.
(Judges 14:16-17)
So she cried whenever she was with him and
kept it up for the rest of the celebration. At last,
on the seventh day he told her the answer
because she was tormenting him with her
nagging.
(Judges 14:16-17)
One day Samson went to the Philistine town of
Gaza and spent the night with a prostitute.
(Judges 16:1)
Some time later Samson fell in love with a
woman named Delilah
(Judges 16:4)
She tormented him with her nagging day after
day until he was sick to death of it. Finally,
Samson shared his secret with her.
(Judges 16:16-17)
When he woke up, he thought, I will do as
before and shake myself free.

(Judges 16:20)
When he woke up, he thought, I will do as
before and shake myself free. But he didnt
realize the Lord had left him.
(Judges 16:20)
When he woke up, he thought, I will do as
before and shake myself free. But he didnt
realize the Lord had left him.
(Judges 16:20)
So the Philistines captured him and gouged
out his eyes. They took him to Gaza, where he
was bound with bronze chains and forced to
grind grain in the prison.

But before long, his hair began to grow back.

(Judges 16:22)
This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One
of Israel, says: In repentance and rest is your
salvation, in quietness and trust is your
strength

(Isaiah 30:15)
Sovereign Lord, remember me again. O God,
please strengthen me just one more time.

(Judges 16:28)
Then Samson put his hands on the two center
pillars that held up the temple. Pushing against
them with both hands, he prayed, Let me die
with the Philistines.

(Judges 16:29-30)
So he killed more people when he died than he
had during his entire lifetime.

(Judges 16:30)
I have been crucified with Christ and I no
longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now
live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of
God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

(Galatians 2:20)
Set your minds on things above, not on
earthly things. For you died, and your life is
now hidden with Christ in God.

(Colossians 3:2,3)
...unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground
and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it
dies, it produces many seeds.

(John 12:24)
...give your bodies to God because of all he
has done for you. Let them be a living and holy
sacrificethe kind he will find acceptable. This
is truly the way to worship him..
