Introdution
This feature enables cell reselection from GSM cells to LTE cells in a mixed GSM/LTE
radio access network.
To use this feature, the following information is required about the adjacent LTE cells:
the frequencies and the bandwidth
the cell indices, the country code, the tracking area code, and the network code

To administer this information Adjacent LTE cell (ADJL) object class is introduced to the
system. This information is sent via the SYSTEM INFORMATION TYPE 2quater (SI2q)
message on BCCH to the MS.
Up to eight adjacent LTE cells may be configured per GSM cell.

To enable 2G to LTE cell reselection we
should respect the following steps:
Activate the feature on the BSC level
Create 2G-4G neighbors with mandatory
parameters
(MCC,MNC,TAC,INDEX,EUFREQ)
Based on the Layer 3 messages form DT We
can confirm now the successful working of the
feature LTE SYSTEM INFORMATION

to UTRAN is
performed from
ALFA4 (2G)to
ALFA3 (3G)
We Deactivate the Feature in order to check
the interworking between the 3G and 4G
Layers we notice the following:
LTE parameters are not braodcasted in the
System information type2quater message
Cell reselection from 2G to 3G
The Ue camp on The 3G layer and cannot
perform a cell reselection to LTE

Conclusion
In order to avoid complaints and to ensure the interworking Between different technologies
in ALFA network we should enable the following features:
LTE SYSTEM INFORMATION (System information type 2quater) (BSS RG 20)
WCDMA broadcasts LTE information (System information block 19) (W11B)
