consists of 12 stations from Versova to
Ghatkopar.
The line connects the Eastern & Western
suburbs of Mumbai.
It was built at an estimated cost of 4321 crore
and is operated by the Mumbai Metro One
Pvt Ltd (MMOPL).

goods which is not easy
to be carried by motor
vehicles.

of transport it helps to
reach the destination
with speed & certainty.
DISADVANTAGES
Unsuitable for short
distance & small traffic
of goods.

It is cheaper & it is big
& wide & can carry a
lot of people.
Many people choose
BEST BUS and can buy
monthly pass to travel
at a reduced fair.
DISADVANTAGES
Buses are sometimes
over crowded & you
can be left waiting for
the next bus.
The bus may be noisy
and uncomfortable ride
because it moves
through a lot of traffic.
METRO
ADVANTAGES
The cost of ticket for
riding the metro is
definitely lower.
Less traffic on the
streets and your share
in saving the earth
from pollution

DISADVANTAGES
Noise coming from the
train itself and from
the crowd.
There are lots of people
who ride the subway,
and if you are
claustrophobic, riding
the metro is not
definitely for you.
