The Book of Job
It is an exquisite dramatic
poem which relates the story of
Job, his trials at the hands of
Satan, his discussions with
friends on the origins and
nature of his suffering, his
challenge to God, and finally a
response from God.

The author of the book is not
known, it was composed
sometime between the seventy
and fifth centuries B.C.
The book of Job has 42
chapters and the purpose of
the writing is didactic.

The Book of Proverbs
Is an authology of didactic poetry forming
part of the sapiental literature of the old
testament.
Its primary purpose is to teach wisdom.
The book was written precisely in the early
part of the fifth century.
It has 31 chapters.
The Book of Ecclesiastes
This book is
concerned with the
purpose and value of
human life.

The author of the
book was a teacher of
popular wisdom with
the literary name of
Qoheleth.
The book of
Ecclesiastes has 12
chapters.

It tells us to fear God
and keep His
commandments, for this
mas all, because God
will bring judgment every
work, with all its hidden
qualities, whether good
or bad.
The Song of songs
Commonly referred as
song of Solomon and it
contains exquisite poetic
form the sublime
portrayal and praise of
the mutual love of the
Lord and His people.
I t was written at the end
of the Babylonian Exile
(536 B.C) as that in
ehich an unknown poet
composed it.
It consist only 8
chapters and 117
verses.
The Song of song
reveals as the true
meaning of mutual
love between God
and His people.

The Book of Wisdom

It was written hundred
years before the
coming of Christ.

The author name is
unknown to us.

It is consists with 19
chapters.

The wisdom of faith
and the true wisdom
coming from the fear
of the Lord.
The Book of Sirach
o Ben Sirach, a jewish
scribe who had been
living in Jerusalem, may
have authored this book
in Alexandria, Egypt at
about 180 175 B.C.

o It has 51 chapters of
moral instruction and
common sense gained
from experience.
o It also known as
Liber Ecclesiasticus
meaning Church
Book.

o All things are vanity,
nothing will remain in
this world, but the
love of God.
