The National Cadet Corps Ghana aims to develop responsible, disciplined and resourceful cadets to become useful citizens through instilling values of discipline, loyalty and patriotism. It seeks to strengthen national character, foster leadership skills, promote uniformity in basic discipline, and enable cadets to be available for voluntary community services. The organization has a hierarchical command structure consisting of headquarters at the national, sector, regional, and school levels, each responsible for training and administration of cadets under their supervision.

The National Cadet Corps Ghana is an organization that will develop responsible disciplined and resourceful cadets to become useful citizens. Develop in the young people the spirit of Discipline, Loyalty and Patriotism
Strengthen the national character and build on the relationship between the community and the Security Services To foster the spirit of adventure and develop good leadership, self-reliance and initiative leadership skills in the nation. To awaken the mental, psychological, physical and educational capacities of student cadets. To promote uniformity among student cadets in the knowledge of basic discipline and develop their character positively. To ensure discipline among students and the educational authority. To enable school cadet in the nation respond to nation authority by developing their powers of leadership initiative and self reliance. To make themselves available for voluntary services such as clean-up, environmental re-afforestation ,symposia ,for a and other meaningful activities or programmes leading to sustainable development of the youth. To seek influence administrational policy in enforcing discipline as pertaining to students by holding regular meeting among school commands and with the school authorities when necessary. To study the basic services of the specialize armed of services and promote interest in their duties, objectives and activities for peace stability and development. To bring together all cadet schools in the nation for developmental activities, understand and uphold the laws of mother Ghana.
Within the NCCG there are four levels of command and these are: HQ NATIONAL CADET CORPS.
HQ SECTOR CADET CORPS.
HQ REGIONAL CADET CORPS.
HQ SCHOOL CADET CORPS. INTRODUCTION: The National Headquarters is the apex body of the CORPS which is made up of the National Co-ordinator the Chief of Staff and various staffs who assist in the training and administration of the entire CORPS.
It is divided into geographically into two sectors under the command of a Sector Co-ordinator with various staffs to assist. The Sector Headquarters is the apex body of the sector which is made up of the Sector Co- ordinator and various staffs who assist in the training and administration of the entire Sector.
It is divided into geograghically into five regions each to supervise the administration of the Corps The Regional Headquarters is the apex body of the region which is made up of the Regional Co-ordinator and various staffs who assist in the training and administration of the entire Sector.
It is made up of all recognised school cadet corps in the region.
