You are the HR manager at an IT major. One of the
employees has made derogatory remarks about your
firms HR policy on your company's Facebook page
and this has gone viral with many others joining in.
How will you handle this situation?

Employee strength of 10,000 and has share holders across the
country.
The company has a Facebook page that includes employees,
share holders , aspirants , admirers and customers as its
members.

Ask to submit the justification.
Reasonable remarks must be accepted by the company but with
an apology for using the wrong mode of communication.
If the remarks are found to have an unethical motive of damaging
the companys image, serious action must be taken.

the customers so that the remarks do not affect the companys
reputation..

Spread of awareness about the companys future plans and future
projects .
Eliminate rumours
Create awareness among the employees about the grievance
channel to encourage employees involvement by sending mails .
Employees should be assured that their concerns will never be
ignored if they are expressed using the right mode of
communication.

Educate the employees from time to time about the impacts of
making derogatory remarks in a social networking site.
Violators must be punished, there by avoiding such remarks in the
future.
Explain the benefits and justify the companys policies to the
employees and convince them that every policy is for the Company
and the employees well being
