Environmental issues like global warming have
become major threat to the environment.
These issues can be handled efficiently by means of
environmental education.
Human and environment are in continuous
interaction with each other.
All the human actions directed towards environment
receive reactions.
Aim of the paper is to :
investigate the impact of human activity on
environment.
Reasons for the human actions.


There exists a close unbreakable relationship between
the people and their surroundings.

It is the attitude of individuals towards environment
that influences their actions.

Personal and impersonal experiences are the building
blocks of the attitude.

Education has a long lasting impact on these
experiences.


Global warming, as I understand it, is actually two
different things: one is that,
which I hear about and what people tell me. The other is
that, which I sense and
experience on my own. That, which I hear about really is
global and doesnt seem
to apply to me. But there is something else that I also see
and experience on
my own: the fact that we no longer have a winter! Then I
begin to think that this is
perhaps the consequence of global warming.
I feel the same as well, not only from what I have seen on TV and
read in the
papers. Last December, I drove up north all the way to the Srinagar.
There
was no snow on the ground. Swans were still flying about and the
bodies of water
had not yet frozen over. Everything had a summery feel to it.
Direct perception of environment is the function of
knowledge.
Personal experience also plays a major role in
analyzing the environment changes
Culture, religion and social awareness all contribute in
conservation of environment.
Moral responsibility for saving environment has paved
the way for the concept of social responsibility.
Attitude, perception, knowledge all helps in
conserving resources.
Conservation of resources further helps in
conservation of environment.





Light of knowledge helps in giving final shape to the
final actions of people.

Campaigns on conserving electricity and anti-
polythene campaigns have resulted in deduction of
consumption of resources.

Education about the benefits of recycling household
products has resulted in switching of 15% of people to
recycled products.

Motivation

Imparting education along with motivation is an
influential tool for influencing that attitude and
perception of individuals.
Perception and attitude helps in implementation of
environmental friendly practices.
Environmental friendly practices helps in building
healthy environment.
This clearly underlines the importance of liaison
between human and environment.
