WHEN SILENCE SPEAKS

And the Lord said to Joshua: See! I have given

Jericho into your hand, its king, and the mighty
men of valor Jos.6:2
Now Joshua had commanded the people, saying,
You shall not shout or make any noise with your
voice, nor shall a word proceed out of your
mouth, until the day I say to you, Shout! Then
you shall shout.
So he had the ark of the Lord circle the city, going
around it once. Then they came into the camp
and lodged in the camp.
This was to be a time of quiet reflection and
prayer.
Our lives are too LOUD! Our minds too BUSY, and
our hearts too OVERWELMED to hear God.
There is a need for us to clear our schedules,
clear our business, and our routines to make
time for God.
The KINGDOM of God only works for people
who have a laser like focus on the KING and
His purposes(Mt.6:33)

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Send
men to spy out the land of Canaan, which I am
giving to the children of Israel; from each tribe
of their fathers you shall send a man, every
one a leader among them. Num.13:1-2
Then they told him, and said: We went to
the land where you sent us. It truly flows with
milk and honey, and this is its fruit. 28
Nevertheless the people who dwell in the land
are strong;
Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses,
and said, Let us go up at once and take
possession, for we are well able to overcome
it. (30)
But the men who had gone up with him said, We are
not able to go up against the people, for they are
stronger than we. 32 And they gave the children of
Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied
out, saying, The land through which we have gone as
spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the
people whom we saw in it are men of great stature. 33
There we saw the giants[d] (the descendants of Anak
came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers
in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.
So all the congregation lifted up their voices and cried,
and the people wept that night. 2 And all the children
of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, and the
whole congregation said to them, If only we had died
in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this
wilderness! 3 Why has the Lord brought us to this land
to fall by the sword, that our wives and children should
become victims? Would it not be better for us to return
to Egypt? 4 So they said to one another, Let us select
a leader and return to Egypt.
Thus you see the importance of silence before
Jericho.
Words are the biggest deterrent to walking
into Gods promises.
Sometimes the ONLY thing to do in your life is
be quiet and take your need to God.
There are only two ministries that people are
involved in that come before Gods throne:
Intercession-the ministry of Jesus. It is Christ who
died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the
right hand of God, who also makes intercession for
us. Ro.8:33
Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost
those who come to God through Him, since He always
lives to make intercession for them. Heb7:25
Accusationthe ministry of satan
Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now
salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God,
and the power of His Christ have come, for the
accuser of our brethren, who accused them before
our God day and night, has been cast down.
Rev.12:10
Remember Job? Satans position before the throne of
God has been removed by the cross
But Gods children have access to that throne
and every word we say, every prayer we
mutter, every thought and intent of our heart
comes up to God. We MUST keep our hearts
RIGHT so we can pray!
We cannot afford to talk ourselves OUT of
Gods blessings in our lives.
You need to CIRCLE your need with Gods
presence and get in the center and pray.
