Lifelong learning can be summarized as self
motivational towards the findings and to
increase the knowledge level through
volunteering based on personal needs or
professional.

It has to be conducted for the efforts to obtain
all the knowledge which is related especially for
the subjects that are being taught.

Dr. Wan Mohd. Nor Wan Daud had explained
that the culture of the knowledge is a culture
which keeps the highest value and basic thing to
the knowledge that is the key for all the good
deeds in an individuals life, family, society, race
and nation.

It is relevant for the teachers to plan the self
realization learning plan so that they can
always have current knowledge which can be
shared with the pupils.
One of the major conditions that enable a
teacher to be open minded and accepts the
changes is through lifelong learning.

So, every teacher has to be prepared from
the aspects of mental, emotional and
physical to become the educator in
conducting the personal learning through
lifelong learning.
The appreciation on the concept of lifelong
learning is crucial especially for teaching
profession as it enables the teachers to give
contribution to the professions to the nation.

The demands can be seen more clearly in this
ICT era, knowledgeable society and economic
based knowledge. (Syed Muhammad Syed
Abdul Kadir,2002)
Teachers can take efforts to increase the level of
achievements and always grab opportunities to
follow the learning in order to satisfy the needs
and achieve the personal satisfactions.

Yazid Abdul Manap (2001) had stated some
strategies taken by the Ministry of Education in
efforts to rank the profession as prestigious and
also to make the profession as a first choice.

In order for the teachers to achieve the stage
of professional teachers so every teacher
needs to be ready to explore the current
knowledge.
The teachers need to read a lot and obtain
latest information to prepare themselves to
make sure the education system in Malaysia
will be recognized as a qualified education.
The reading culture program for the teachers
can be started with two weeks once where a
teacher is required to do book reviews in the
morning assemblies.

This program will help the teachers to find
time to read which means the knowledge of
the teachers will increase gradually.

This reading culture will be able to help the
teachers to increase the journal writing skill
and to conduct action research to widen the
experiences, knowledge, and the teachers
point of views on their own professions.

It will also help to sharpen the efficiency and
the confidence level of the teachers when
they are teaching.
It will eventually help the teachers to be more
creative, reflective, and to be innovative in
the teaching process.

All the teachers need to practice reading
culture because through this method they
will be able to debate on the topics or issues
with more confidence and pupils will be more
confidence with the teaching.
