decades in the field of Higher education in India. DPG INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND
MANAGEMENT campus is located in Gurgaon, the district Head-quarter of Haryana and one of
the major Corporate Hub of the Northern Capital Region (Delhi-NCR). DPG, Gurgaon was
established in the year 2007 on a sprawling campus spread over 23 acres. It had an intake
capacity of 300 seats in CSE, ME, CE, EE, ECE (60 seats each).

DPG institute of technology and management is approved by AICTE , Ministry of HRD, Govt. of
India; Director of Technical Education, Govt. of Haryana & Affiliated to M.D. University, Rohtak.

in the international arena. A book bank scheme is implemented to help students
to obtain the latest books free of cost by depositing a nominal security refundable

Indian & foreign have been subscribed for the benefit of all types of readers.
Besides imparting quality education at DPG INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND
MANAGEMENT we continuously monitor progress of our students through

Admission Eligibility

Haryana/NCR State Counseling Society conducts entrance test, if any, for making admission and
conducts online counseling for various admissions. The society is the nodal agency for
carrying out online paperless admissions to various AICTE approved technical courses in
Haryana. (www.hstes.in/hscs.in) Admission to B.Tech programmes shall be made on the
intense-merit and of AIEEE to be conducted by the CBSE.

Admission Procedure
ELIGIBILITY

B. TECH.
1st Year (JEE): Passed 10+2 Examination with Physics & Mathematics as
compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology /
Technical Vocational Subject. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of
candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.
Admission will be according to JEE ranking.
2nd Year (LEET): Passed Diploma examination from an AICTE approved institution
with at least 45% marks (40% in case of reserved category candidate) in
appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology or passed B Sc. Degree from a
recognized University as defined by UGC with at least 45% marks (40% in case of
reserved category candidate). Admission will be according to LEET ranking.
M.E. / M. TECH.
Passed Bachelor degree (B.E/B.Tech) in relevant discipline or equivalent with
minimum 50% marks(45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category ) as
a regular student. The admission shall be made on the basis of Merit Ranking in
the HARYANA COMMON POSTGRADUATE ENTRANCE TEST -2013 to be conducted
by Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak.

Admission Procedure

LIST OF DOCUMENTS TO BE BROUGHT AT THE TIME OF REPORTING IN THE INSTITUTE:

The candidates, at the time of reporting must bring the following Original Certificate /
Documents/Testimonials along with three sets of duly attested photocopies of these with them. Any
candidate, who fails to produce any of the required Certificate /Document/ Testimonial at the time of
reporting the institution, will forfeit his/her claim to admission.
Qualifying Examination i.e.10+2 / Intermediate/ Senior Secondary School Examination.

Effective Teaching Methodology

Teaching is the profession where the success of the teachers depends on
the ability of the students to gain knowledge but it has been seen teachers
who have made even the worst of students the best of learners. So, it is
evident the understanding of a subject taught by a teacher depends on
the methods of teaching adopted by the teacher. Methods make the
material easier to comprehend and assimilate. A teacher would only pay
attention towards his methods only when he is completely dedicated
towards its profession and if his profession. There are some effective
teaching methods that a teacher when follows would get better results
from his students in terms of comprehension and reproduction of the
topic on pen and paper which we will discuss in this article.

The effective methods of teaching:It is important that the teacher sets
goals for himself or herself and also for his or her students so that they
aim and work towards that goal ,if failing they can work upon it.

Scholarships

The institutes extends scholarship to the following categories 90%
in 10+2 or Rank less than 10000 offers 15000 Rs. Scholarship for
boys and girls both 80% % in 10+2 or Rank less than 30000 offers
10000 Rs. Scholarship for boys and girls both 70% in 10+2 or Rank
less than 50000 offers 5000 Rs. Scholarship for girls only

The admissions to B Tech courses are made through online off campus counselling by the
Haryana State Counselling Society (HSCS) on the basis of AIEEE / LEET rank.
Electronics & Communication Engg.

DPGITM is among the finest in the institute having qualified faculty and well equipped
laboratories. The course provides detailed study of various semiconductor devices,
electromagnetic field theory, embedded system design, optical fiber communication, microwave
and radar communication, control system and pcb designing. The department offers both B.Tech
and M.Tech degree courses and offers various job opportunities in both the public and private
sector.
Electrical Engineering

Electrical engineering is a field of engineering that generally deals with the study and application
of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. The field first became an identifiable
occupation in the late nineteenth century after commercialization of the electric telegraph and
electrical power supply. It now covers a range of subtopics including power, electronics, control
systems, signal processing and telecommunications.
Mechanical Engineering

The department of Mechanical Engineering strives hard to acquaint the budding engineering to
sharpen their core engineering skills by taking up theoretical and practical measures in requisite
quantum. The department has many achievements in the last few years & dedicated all its effort
to produce quality engineer.
Civil Engineering
The Civil Engineering aims to improve the civil life of society by harmonizing the natural
resources available on the earth. The major areas in the field of Civil Engineering are
Construction Technology, Geotechnical Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Municipal and
Sanitary services, Surveying and mapping, Hydraulics and Water resources. A Construction
Engineering deals with the design and supervision of construction of bridges, buildings, tunnels
and dams. Role of specialized geotechnical engineers is vital and relevant for any structure to
stand stable.

A well stocked library has been established in the heart of college campus having splendid
collection of books (Above 19,000) to help the students & lecturers to gain easy access to the
latest information in the field of technology. The concept of libraries has revolutionized
human creative thinking and mankind has witnessed a sea change in the standard of living as
books preserve archival materials and historical records for the coming generation
Laboratories

Laboratories are well equipped with the latest equipments and software. Departments of
Physics, Chemistry and Electrical Engineering have their concerned labs with multiple sets of
instruments to cover not only the university syllabus but also to provide overall practical
knowledge of theory subjects to improve their basic science foundation. The Computer
engineering and Information Technology departments possess several labs such as Multimedia
Labs, Programming lab, Operating System Lab, Advance Java Lab, Hardware lab and
departmental project lab etc
Computer Laboratory

The Institute has two fully air-conditioned Computer Labs for students. The lab has 60 Desk
tops. Each desk top is served by an independent U.P.S. Students use the lab to do project
work or research, generate print output, and to practice using software applications
commonly used in this field. An Internet connection is also available in Computer Lab. A
trained teacher is available to assist students with computer related issues. All machines
are interconnected though local area net working for better accessibility.
Medical

The college has appointed Specialists and Super specialists as visiting consultants.
RADIX Hospital is empanelled as Official Hospital at a distance of 4 km.
24 hours indoor/outdoor medical facilities are available at RADIX hospital.
Common pathological tests like blood, urine, ECG etc are available.
Ambulance of the hospital and the college transport vehicles are available for
emergency.
Hostel

Hostels life a student cultivate self-dependence, independent thinking, cooperative spirit
and managerial capabilities. DPGITM has there for provided residential accommodation
on campus for both boys and girls. The hostels are spacious and fully furnished with beds,
study tables, chairs cupboards. The Hostel Mess provides nutritious and hygienically
prepared meal and clean drinking water through RO System. Recreation rooms with T.V.
news papers, magazines and indoor games/sports are an integral part of the DPGITM
residential.
Sports

Games are an integral part of learning. To infuse the students with a team spirit and channelize
their energy into fruitful accomplishments, an Annual Sports Meet is held on the campus. The
young sportspersons display a rare blend of strength and stamina. They wholeheartedly
participate in the sports events and get an intensive Training in calisthenics. The students
participate in door as well as outdoor games. The College has good infrastructure
for sports & games. The activities include various outdoor games like Softball, Basketball, Volley
Ball, Gymnastics, Hand Ball, Badminton, Cricket and Football and indoor games like Table Tennis,
Chess, Chinese Checker, Carom and gymnasium room, Inter class competitions and Annual
Athletic meet are special features.
