the track changes function Review Track changes

Flip teaching (or flipped classroom) is a form of blended
learning in which students learn new content online by
watching video lectures, usually at home, and what used to
be homework (assigned problems) is now done in class
with teacher offering more personalized guidance and
interaction with students, instead of lecturing (from
Wikipedia)

The main idea is that you free up class time by assigning
some type of content online, and the class time is freed up
to spend on discussion and higher level learning
The major assumption is that kids do the homework and
that they understood what was presented

Teaching a mini-lesson using technology ... 50 points
(due weeks 10/8-10/29)
This is an assignment where you and a partner will create a short (20
minute) lesson where you teach us something using technology. The key
rule for this assignment are that you must use the SmartBoard or
Promethean and another form of technology for some part of the lesson.
In the past, others have used the internet, videos, iPads, iphones,
Webquests etc. You can teach us anything which has some educational
value. Ideally you would like to teach us something we do not know. The
underlying goal is to integrate technology into a lesson where you teach
something AND use the SmartBoard/Promethean and another form of
technology as your tools of instruction. Thus, you must have some
working knowledge of how the Smartboard (or Promethan) Board work and
are used. Please make this engaging to the class, as this will be part of
your evaluation. In addition, I will be looking at the tools and methods for
technology integration. You will email the final product to the instructor.
This assignment should also be uploaded as a foliotek artifact. It would be
advantageous to consider using tools such as the iPads and phones and
various apps as ways to truly integrate technology that you will be seeing
in the K-12 classrooms. It would be best to structure this lesson as a
typical mini lesson, with an introduction, guided practice and then
individual/group independent practice and some evaluation piece.

Internship Reflections Final reflection Due by 11/19
.50 points total
You are to keep a digital notebook of your visits (in addition to
your timesheet). You should create an entry for each visit and
reflect upon what you observed during each visit (1 paragraph).
You may choose any digital medium to do this. It might be good
to explore something such as a simple blog where you could also
have the option to post student artifacts or pictures etc. which
would add to the value of this assignment.
For one lesson that you watch, you will evaluate the technology
integration using the Arizona Technology Integration Matrix The
information for the matrix can be found at
http://www.azk12.org/tim/ and the matrix is
http://www.azk12.org/tim/docs/AZK1031_Matrix_Print.pdf and
at the end of this syllabus. You will complete the matrix, scan and
upload it to your blog and write a 2-3 paragraph summary of the
context of the lesson and your evaluation based on the
technology rating it received. Consider providing
recommendations for better integration if needed.
