Strategic approach and fundamental rules of creating marketing communication for local government
regions, towns and communities.
Representatives of selected partner regions from V4 countries will present their communication strategies
and marketing of their respective towns and will swap their experience. Case study – communication
strategies of the Zlín Region.

COMMUNICATION WORKSHOPS:
Workshops will be run by experts from the field of marketing, media, communication and creativity.
Workshop for local government representatives
- creating a communication strategy, media strategy, creative solutions for the promotion of a model town.
- creation of a communication strategy, selection of communication media
‐ creative solutions ‐ media strategy
Workshop for students
Two‐day workshop on the topic of “Communication Campaign to Promote the Town of Zlín”

ACCOMPANYING EVENTS:
- review of campaigns focused on the main topic – examples of good practice in marketing communication
- declaration of results of the students’ competition “Campaigning for Your Town“ (see below) social evening
on
the theme V4 – experience within your reach.

STUDENTS’ COMPETITION “CAMPAIGNING FOR YOUR TOWN“


The competition will open in January 2010, closing date is March 2010, winners will be declared within
Adcamp.

Project objectives:

1. Exchange of experience in the field of the public sector


marketing communication of V4 countries with the
emphasis on the promotion of regions, towns and
communities.
 
2. Finding a more effective way of promoting local
government units, regions, town and communities and
increasing their competitiveness.
 
3. Extension education for students in the field of
communication, their collaboration with professionals in
practice.

Target group and groups profiting from the project
 
a) Local government representatives – regional offices, town councils, local
councils. Responsible personal who are in charge of the marketing and promotion
of regions, towns and communities.
b) Students studying marketing communication branch, multimedia branches and
tourism branch.
c) Tourism centres.
d) Representatives of entities focused on incoming tourism.
 
Geographic targets:
V4 countries (Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Poland, Hungary)

Expected attendance: 250 governmental representatives (regional officers), 100

Project communication support

1. Government administration and tourism centres


• Direct mail – invitation to an event inclusive an application form, addressed to
selected regional, town and community councils in the V4 region – 4000 pcs.
• Newsletter – sent by e-mail to selected regional, town and community councils
• Advertisement in magazines for state administration
2. Students
• Direct mail to be sent to headquarters of selected schools, posters enclosed to be
posted on info-panels in schools
• Schoolweb banner – link to www.cpmv.eu
3. Special web pages  
Special web pages will be created at www.adcamp.cz , where you can
find the following information:
- event’s programme
- application form
- disposition to students’ competition “Campaigning for Your Town“
4. Media relations
Media partnership with chosen magazines focused on marketing communication or
papers for governmental administration staff (interwiews and PR articles etc.).

1. Education in marketing communication and communication generally
2. Experiences exchange in the frame of subjects educational development, also in
international level
3. Development of communication  efficiency  of towns , institutions, villages and its
projects  mainly in the culture and educational area
4. Culture tradition, culture heritage and culture events development

This activity contents:

- organisational works in Culture and educational activities, connected with targets of CPMV
 
- usage of results of a culture and public educational  activities in the area of school
system, education, and communication
- agreements contracting (with our trade name  and account)  leaded to ensure activities in
the area of culture and education
- cooperation and membership in professional  associations, communities with same or
similar targets
- crossborder cooperation (mainly with partner organisations from „Visegrad Group“,
Slovakia, Hungary, Poland).
