CHETNA INSTITUTE
OBJECTIVES

To establish the creative levels of children with mental
disabilities and to establish their ability to count from rote
memory
To undertake a tree plantation drive at the school by
allowing the children to plant trees within the premises
To establish their level of interaction with modern
gadgets such as the touch screen smart phones for
taking snapshots
To have a few moments of fun and interaction with them
to help them enjoy our company and vice versa


To interact with the children and the residents on a
personal level

To see their ability to correlate designs with patterns and
associate them with colour

To map their abilities by providing them with chart
papers and crayons

To make them understand the importance of plants in
our surrounding.

To know what makes them happy and be able to bring
them that happiness.

EXPECTATIONS
TEAM ROLES
Saurav, Soumit and Shaikh managed most of the logistic
work

Avinash and Nirlipta ensured that various operational
activities went as planned

Shikha and Shailaja played a vital role in conflict
resolution and tried to keep the team spirit high

Saibal was instrumental in the teams communication
with Chetana and ensured that they were kept in the
loop throughout the entire operation

Spandan assessed and evaluated each plan of action

Acceptance initially was an
issue the team faced
Implementing a pedagogy
was tough with the kids
because they seemed to be
a robust group
We had to initially give
