INTRODUCTION


Accelerated SAP (ASAP) IS SAPs standard implementation
methodology. It contains the Road map a step-by-step guide.

Accelerated SAP contains a multitude of tools accelerators and
useful information to assist all team members in implementing
R/3.

Its purpose is to help design SAP implementation in the most
efficient manner possible






The ASAP Roadmap provides the methodology for
implementing and continuously optimizing your SAP
System. It divides the implementation process into five
phases and offers detailed Project Plans to assist you.


Phase 1 Project Preparation
Phase 2 Business Blueprint
Phase 3 Realization
Phase 4 Final Preparation
Phase 5 Go-Live and support



FIVE PHASES ROAD MAP

SAPs ASAP methodology consists of five (5)
stages: Project Preparation, Business Blueprint,
Realization, Final Preparation, and Go-
Live/Support.

1. PROJECT PREPARATION

During this phase the team goes through
initial planning and preparation for SAP
project.

Define Goal Setting and Objectives.
Implementation Strategy
Define your project schedule, budget plan .
Implementation Sequence
Team
Sign Off





2. BUSSINESS BLUEPRINT

The purpose of this phase is to achieve a common
understanding of how the company intends to run
SAP to support their Business

3. REALIZATION


The purpose of this phase is to implement all the business
process requirement based on the Business Blueprint.

The System Configuration methodology is provided in two
work packages:

Base line (Major Scope) and
Final configuration (Remaining Scope)

In this Phase also we have to Create a Documentation for the
configuration implemented & it has to be taken sign off from
Client.

4. FINAL PREPARATION

The purpose of this phase is to complete the final
preparation, which includes..

Unit Testing
Integration Testing
User Training & Testing
Cut Over Strategy



5. GO-LIVE/SUPPORT
The purpose of this phase is to move from a Project
Oriented, Preproduction environment to live
production Operation.
The most important elements include setting up
production support, monitoring system transactions
and optimizing overall system performance.
Hyper care
After Go-Live System is kept under monitoring for
Support for a small period.
