I. Background of the Study

Power interruption had been a common occurrence

Standby generators have been the best remedy to continue
the functionality of electrical devices.
The transfer switch isolates the backup generator from the
electric utility when the generator is on and providing
temporary power.
The control capability of a transfer switch may be manual
only, or a combination of automatic and manual.
This research focuses on the design and development of the
power generation system demonstration trainer.
The power generation demonstration trainer was designed to
demonstrate the power generation process and the function of
automatic transfer switch.

II. Statement of the Problem

The study focuses in a demonstration trainer of a power

generator system which will provide knowledge to the students.
The study therefore seeks to address the ff. question:
1. What are the design consideration and different features in
the trainer?
2. What is the control parameters needed in trainer?
3. How to evaluate the power generation system
demonstration trainer?

III. Objectives of the Study

The main objective of the study is to construct an Power
Generation Demonstration Trainer. Distinctively this study
intends to:
1. Design a power generation demonstration
trainer.
2. Develop a power generation demonstration
trainer.
3. Evaluate the power generation instructional
trainer in terms of:
- Functionality
- Cost of effectiveness
- Aesthetics
- Portability

VIII. Conclusion and Recommendations

Conclusions:

The testing and evaluation conducted on the developed

prototype reveals that the power generation process system
has a unique design.
Perception- based evaluation of the developed power
generation process system shows that the prototype has good
qualities on evaluation parameters.
The developed power generation process system shows that it
has a good quality, with the average mean responses for the
parameters that were evaluated found to be good.
The components function as expected.

Recommendations
1. Improve the aesthetics of the power generation system.
2. A terminal block for generator terminal connection will be
installed to facilitate convenience in using the flip board.
3. Further study is also recommended to improve the design and its
features.
