It was founded as an oil company and then into soaps and
beauty products.
New Indian government rules passed in the late 1970's requiring

took its operations and went out of India.

SUGGESTIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS


Product diversification towards telecommunication and mobile handsets in India.
Strategic business unit should strengthen the domestic market as well by taking
the advantages of liberalization and globalization.
Establish presence in emerging markets.
Wipro needs to come up with some cheaper versions
Wipro should advertise more so that the people know it is not only a PC
company but also has a lot many valuable product offerings.
Wipro has to enhance the performance of its desktop PCs.
It should tap in new markets where it has still not made any foray.
Its after sales services should be improved.
