What is the Single Biggest Problem the

Students Have to Face?
It is This:

Too Much to Study and not Enough Time.

The memory decreases sharply after initial learning.

We remember only 18% after 24 hours.
We forget 82% of all that we learn within 24 hours!!

Graphic technique which provides a

universal key to unlock the potential of the
brain.
Harnesses cortical skills word, image,
number, logic, rhythm, colour and spatial
awareness in a single, uniquely powerful
manner.
Applied to every aspect of life where
improved learning and clearer thinking will
enhance your productivity.

What is Mind Mapping?

Mind Maps are diagrams that work the
way you think. They make it easy to
understand, remember, and communicate
complex information.
A picture is worth a thousand words

What is mind mapping..

Technique of drawing/making notes using
keywords and images.
works the way our brain.
Memory is non-linear.
Mind remembers keywords and images not
sentences.
Brain works by association and not separated
disconnected lines.

Our Brain

Research into the Left and

Right Hemispheres:
13 Billon Neurons in human brain.
Neurons are sensory cells. neuron.doc
Stimulus causes activation of certain
neurons.
Stimulus types are touching, light,
sound, colour etc.

More these activities were integrated, the

more the brain's performance became cooperative, with each intellectual skill
enhancing the performance of other
intellectual areas.

What mind mapping requires?

1. Keywords.
2. Images.
Using this two, a chapter or even a book
can be reduced to single A-4 size paper.

Keyword Technique:
The keyword technique for
remembering large amounts of data
only works if you use

Individual words rather than entire

sentences.
Words are specific, sentences are general.

The Power of Images

In 1970 Scientific American Ralph Haber's
research:
Individuals have a recognition accuracy of
images between 85 and 95 percent.
"A picture is worth a thousand words". We
associate and remember images because
they make use of a massive range of your
cortical skills, especially imagination.
thereby enhancing creative thinking and
memory.

TOOLS REQUIRED TO DRAW

How to Mind map?

Start in the centre with an image of the topic.
Use images, symbols, codes and dimensions
throughout your Mind Map.
Select key words.

on its own line.
Make the lines the same length as the
word/image.
