providing total packaging solution. It provides
an extensive range of packaging solutions to
the leading food, pharmaceutical, chemical
and personal care manufacturers in the
Philippines as well as United States, Europe,
Japan, and Australia among other foreign
markets.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE STUDY

To evaluate and understand the profile,


structure and corporate values of this entity
and how they manage to operate viably
under the more competitive and
sophisticated business environment

Analysis of the companys corporate culture


to better appreciate the business philosophy
that serves as its governing foundation in
operations

To establish with clear business sense, the


organizational habits and behavior of one
successful corporation and how this
institutional practices have transformed this
company into its formidable and reputable
state in the industry

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

The researchers obtained the primary data that was


directly gathered from San Miguel Yamamura
Packaging Corporation through an in-depth interview
with the executives and the rank-and-file employees.

The executives were able to discuss thoroughly their


ways of leading their team, the ways on how they
motivate their employees, the process of how
announcements and other important notices are
disseminated to the whole organization and of course
how they address the concerns of their employees.

The secondary data were obtained through


the website of the company in order to
strengthen and enhance the credibility of the
study. In the companys website, their
products and services are listed there and so
as their history. These data gave the
researchers more information about the
company which exceeded beyond the
researchers necessary facts.

CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

CONCLUSION

We can say that San Miguel has very good


policies that they implement in their
organization. The companys culture
according to the executives is family
oriented. They not only treat each other as
human beings that they simply work with,
they also treat each other as family.

We observed that the executives have good


relationships with the rank and file which would mean
that San Miguels power distance is low. They have
different activities such as dance contests and even
karaoke that help executives and the rank and file
employees have a stronger bond with each other.

The company also makes sure that there is room for


growth by implementing job rotations, giving the
employees an opportunity to learn new skills and
associate with different people since they will be
getting the chance to work with a different team.

San Miguel Company not only thinks about


the welfare of their employees but also
people outside of their company.

They organize and take part in different


welfare projects that help people in need.
They were one of the many companies that
gave up their Christmas party budget to
donate money to people affected by the
typhoon.

RECOMMENDATION

One thing that San Miguel could do is


improve work hours flexibility as well as
benefits. Based on the survey that we
conducted with the rank and file employees,
almost every single one of them gave very
high ratings for the company. The only low
rating that was given to San Miguel was in
accordance to incentives and benefits. We
think that San Miguel should associate more
incentives with accomplished tasks to further
motivate the employees.

We can therefore conclude that San Miguel


Yamamura Corporation is a company driven
by good values and honor which is
something that every company should
prioritize.

And given our experience from meeting the


executives there really is no doubt why San
Miguel Yamamura Packaging Corporation is
the number 1 company in the packaging
industry.
