WATER SYSTEM
Have a Look
The PTP has aerator, stilling chamber, parshall flume, clarifiers, alum dosing
system, polyelectrolyte dosing system, sludge sumps and sludge pumps.
From raw water pump house, water comes to the aerator, and from aerator to
the stilling chamber where hypochlorite from electro chlorination plant is
dosed.
The flow after the stilling chamber is passed through the parshall flume
where the alum is dosed with the help of metering pumps in the inlet channel
leading to clarifiers to form colloids so that suspended solids gets settled
down and the water has turbidity less than 10 NTU.
The flow after parshall flume get divided into two streams leading to a flash
mixer followed by a clariflocculator.
The sludge from the clariflocculator gets discharged by gravity into a sludge
sump from where it is pumped to ETP.
A chemical house is located near the clariflocculator with alum and
polyelectrolyte dosing system. The solution preparation tanks are on the first
floor and space for storage of chemicals on the ground floor. A clarified
overhead tank is provided for preparation of alum and polyelectrolyte
solutions as well as for flushing.
The water goes to Clarified Water Pump house from clariflocculator.
