PRODUCTION OF ELECTRICITY

SOLAR PANEL

Using the sun for energy purposes has

been known since ancient times. It is
the largest fully renewable resource for
electricity generation, not only on
Earth, but also of all the planets and
moons in the solar system. It is no
secret that all spaceships and aliens
stations sent from Earth, used for
major energy source solar energy.
Precisely because of this, photovoltaic
systems have a very high level of
technology and have a very long
economic life - up to 30 years. Have
not been used extensively in energy
during the last century.

WHAT IS SOLAR ENERGY?

In one year the Earth receives from the Sun about 1,96.1021 kilocalories
radiant energy, which is to 10 times more than all its energy reserves
combined. Almost the same amount of energy emitted from the Earth back
into space so its temperature does not deviate from that required for the
existence of life in the form in which we know it. Sun is not just a source of
energy, it is a source of low entropy energy. It emits photons with energy that
is higher than the energy of the photons that Earth radiates into space.

SOLAR BATTERY

Solar battery, also called solar cell, solar cell, a photocell, photocell, photoelectric
converter is a semiconductor device that converts light energy into electricity. Via solar
panels called solar cells, solar energy is converted into electricity. Tova ecological ways
of producing electric energy. Many people think that this will be used in the future.
It performs two functions:
1. Generation of in the light-absorbing material under the influence of light falling on it;
2. Separation of the charge carriers. This transformation is called the internal
photoelectric effect.

Solar energy is used for:

1. Agriculture and Horticulture:
Photosynthesis is very important photochemical interaction. Greenhouses
carefully monitor the use of solar heat and light for growing special crops. The
majority of life on Earth depends on the ability of plants to photosynthesize
light. Although it can be easily ignored, the efficient use of solar energy is a
fundamental principle in agriculture.

2. Solar Thermal Applications:

Solar hot water systems use
sunlight to heat water.
Technology for water heating by
the sun have higher efficiency
than other solar technologies.
The effectiveness depends on the
choice of place and location, but
flat and tube collectors are
expected to have efficiencies
above 60% under normal
operating conditions. Water
heating by the sun is particularly
suitable for applications at lower
temperatures, for swimming
pools, domestic hot water and
space heating.

3. Heating, cooling and

ventilation:

Systems for heating, cooling

and ventilation of buildings are
closely related. All they aim to
achieve thermal comfort, air
quality in buildings and rational
installation costs, operation
and maintenance. Conventional
such systems are responsible
for 40% of the energy use in the
US and the European Union.
Many solar technologies for
heating, cooling and ventilation
can be used to reduce this
energy consumption.

SOLAR COLLECTORS
Direct taking of electricity involves
artificial devices called solar collectors
designed to collect energy. The energy,
once collected, used in thermal
processes or by photo electric or foto
galvinic processes. In the thermal
processes, solar energy is used to heat
a gas or liquid, which is then stored or
distributed. In foto galvinic processes,
solar energy is converted directly into
electricity without the need for
intermediate devices. Solar collectors
are two main types: flat collectors and
concentrating collectors.
