WHAT IS THE EXPLANATION ?

An explanation is a set of statements
constructed to describe a set of facts
which clarifies the causes, context, and
consequences of those facts.

EXPLANATION
Purpose: To Explain the processes involved in the
formation and working of natural or sociocultural
phenomena.
Text Organization :
o A general statement to position the reader
o A sequenced explanation of why or how something
occurs
o closing

WHAT IS THE PHOTOSYNTHESIS ?

Photosynthesis is a very complex process, and for the
sake of convenience and ease of understanding, plant
biologists devide it into two stage:
a. The light dependent reaction
b. The light independent reaction
On the light dependent reaction, two electron pathways
operate in the thylakoid membrane: the noncyclic pathway
and the cyclic pathway. Both pathways produce ATP but
only the noncyclic pathway also produces NADPH.
ATP production during photosynthesis is sometimes
called photophosphorylation; therefore these pathways are
also known as noncyclic and cyclic photophosphorylation.

HOW IT
WORKS?
In the first stage, The light-dependent
reaction, the chloroplast in nicotinamide adenine
dinucleotide phosphat (NADPH) and Adenosine
triphospate (ATP) , two molecules used in the
second stage of Photosynthesis.

On the light dependent reaction, two

electron pathways operate in the thylakoid
membrane: the noncyclic pathway and the
cyclic pathway. Both pathways produce ATP
but only the noncyclic pathway also produces
NADPH.
ATP production during photosynthesis is
sometimes called photophosphorylation;
therefore these pathways are also known as
noncyclic and cyclic photophosphorylation.

In the second stage,

called the light-independent
reaction (formerly called the
dark reaction) or Calvin
Cycle, NADPH provides the
hidrogen atoms that helps
form glucose, and ATP
provide the energy for this
and other reaction used to
synthesize gluecose.

QUIZ!!!!
3. The chemical represented by box A is
(answer by group 7)

5. The chemical represented by

box C is
(anwer by group 5)
1. What is ATP? (Answer by group 1)

2.What is

NADPH? (answer by group 2)

4. the chemical
represented by box B is
(answer by group 4)

CONCLUSSION
These two stages reflect the literal meaning
of the term photosyntesis, to build with
light energy. The form of this light energy is
ATP and ADP.
